Great value for the money, cleans well.

This Sainsbury's Little Ones baby shampoo now comes in a white bottle with a cute blue whale on the front. The size is 500ml and this lasts my two boys ages. The shampoo itself is colourless and odourless and is a fairly thick gel like consistency. I a way it is a bit too thick as it can slurp itself back into the bottle sometimes and I end up pouring more than I really need. I paid £1.00 for the 500ml bottle and this price per ml is about half that of the other Sainsbury's brand children's shampoo and a quarter of other non supermarket brands, so a real bargain.
The shampoo creates a nice amount of suds and is effective at cleaning my boys' hair. One of my boys really hates getting water in his eyes but if any of this shampoo gets in there it doesn't seem to sting like some shampoos. As it doesn't have a smell it doesn't leave my children's hair smelling nice, but that doesn't bother us at all. We recently tried one of the other Sainsbury's children's shampoos and we did notice a difference, apart from the smell. This little ones brand is definitely not as conditioning as the other one. My boys' hair felt much softer and silkier using the other shampoo. This isn't a problem for us but if you had long hair that tangled easily you might need to use a conditioner also or switch to a more conditioning shampoo.
Overall for the money it does the job well.

Perfect for just your children or the whole family

I purchased this product for the first time a few months ago now, I have a 2 year old son and I shower him every day, I was originally buying Johnsons Baby Shampoo and have been since our son was born but after the increase in grocery prices I decided to try Sainsbury's Little Ones Shampoo instead to compare and I have to say that after using this product I would never go back to Johnsons Baby Shampoo again.

Sainsbury's Little Ones Baby Shampoo is outstanding value for money, you really only need a pea size amount for your childs hair and it lathers up a great amount covering the full head generously making this product last for weeks and weeks even when using everyday. My son has no problem with this shampoo getting into his eyes which was my main concern when swapping from Johnsons and Sainsbury's Little Ones Baby Shampoo smells very pleasant still giving off that lovely baby smell we all love.

I have also used Sainsbury's Little Ones Baby Shampoo on my own hair a few times and it leaves my hair feeling very fresh and super soft so for all those who use the same shampoo as your children this is perfect for the whole family. All in all this is a fabulous shampoo for an even better price without loosing all the things you would want from a higher brand name. We are currently expecting our second child and I will definatly be using this shampoo on our new addition too!

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

Not for me, fine for the kids though!

Recently I was in Sainsbury's looking for some really mild and gentle shampoo for myself. I have been getting really greasy roots of late and felt this may help being a more gentle formulation when I spotted it in Sainsburys when I was last instore. I actually remembered this from the last time I looked after my friends little tot too which I will touch on later if I may do so yes...I'm quite familiar with this product!

      The Packaging:

This is only available in one size to purchase and that is in a frosted white bottle with a yellow flip-top lid to the top of it concealing a small hole and the size of it is 500ml. On the front of it we are told that it is Sainsbury's Little Ones Baby Shampoo and that it is Paediatrician approved, dermatologically tested, hypoallergenic and a no tears formulation. On the back of the bottle other information listed includes being told a bit about the product and how to use it, ingredients, warnings and the size is given and contact details for Sainsbury's are listed. Its a bit of a cheap looking and a basic bottle really but is easy to squeeze the product out of and informative as it needs to be of course.

      The Shampoo:

This of course is a product safe to use for the whole family...not just babies, toddlers and children. It is a runny like transparent light yellow coloured gel that is rather runny and not one bit stiff and it has a sweet, fresh distinctive sort of baby product aroma to it which is light and not too heavy but like I say fresh and rather pleasant.

For a child we are advised to use it once and lather and then rinse it out. It lathers up easily and rinses out just as easily and like I previously mentioned I have used this on my friends little girl and I found it to really deep cleanse her hair and leave it smelling fresh all day long and soft and manageable and she didn't seem agitated by it at all.

Me, I used this and repeated the process and found a little to go rather a long way, again lathering up nicely and feeling smooth on my hair and none greasy and then finally rinsed it. On my mid-length hair this was simply a horrible nightmare though. It left all of my hair feeling dry, knotty and unconditioned which of course it was but it was really unmanageable and in the end I rescued my dry hair and managed to comb it through only with the help of a leave in conditioner that I already owned.

However although my hair felt unhealthy and dried out, my roots were no longer greasy, my scalp and hair felt clean and talk about shine! This really made my hair shiny and look glossy!

However will not be purchasing this again for myself and it has no place in my bathroom and on adults hair this, I think is decidedly shoddy however using it on a child's hair is simply fine and the aroma is really, really nice.

Available only in Sainsbury's stores at about 97p a bottle.
