Advantages: leakproof, affordable

Disadvantages: none

With everything that has been going on with the credit crunch etc and me only working part time at the moment, I thought I would dry 'downsizing' on my daughter's nappy. (Martin from money saving expert explains more on this). We usually use Pampers and she is on size 3 at the moment, so it costs us £5.97 for approx 32 nappies depending on offers etc. I thought, if we don't like them we wont buy them again, but they are worht a go.

Since we shop at Sainsbury's, I thought we would try the size 3 nappies, contain 38 nappies for £3.97, so that's 6 extra nappies at £2 less.
When I opened the pack they looked good enough to be pampers and didn't look like a cheap nappy, not that I know of what a cheap nappy looks like, but I was expecting something totally different.
When hubby put them on our daughter he said they aren't shaped properly, but when I looked he hadn't put them on tight enough, these nappies are slightly larger than the pampers one in size 3.

I thought we would first try them on a night time as this is the longest any baby goes in a nappy, so to me that would be the ultimate test, as pampers are supposed to be at least 12 hours.
The next day everything was fine, I was expecting for her nappy to have leaked or for her to be wet through, but nothing, and her nappy was quite heavy.

The second test was to see if they withstand a poo, and it took only one day to find out. No leaks or nothing, everything was contained nicely.

Overall I am completely impressed with these nappies and I will now buy these ones in as I feel they are just as good as pampers in our experience so far. They are extremely absorbent, well elasticated and fit well to baby, keeping her bum nice and dry. Most of all, my baby seems to be happy in them.

I thought the next problem with them would be a nappy rash and sore bum, but not even that.

I know some people have found them to be bulky, but I don't feel they are, and my daughter is more on the smaller size.

The other good thing is I can buy in the larger pack at something like £6.97 for 70 or so nappies where it would cost me over £10 for the same thing of pampers.

I am pleasantly surprised with these nappies and happy with them

Summary: We will continue to buy these ones now
