Advantages: Snug fit, good quality, excellent value

Disadvantages: None so far

Having had my first child who was allergic to all nappies except Tescos I was dubious about using any others. However the Sainsburys third off all baby products including nappies offer was to good to ignore so I decided to give them a go!

I started with the Little Ones New Size1 Newborn 2-5kg (4-11lb) which has 24 in a pack. The normal price is £1.64 (6.8p per nappy) which I thought was reasonable but with an extra third off was a bargain. Immediately I was impressed with the quality, having used Pampers, Huggies etc in the past I thought these looked as good. As those of you who are mums will know babies have a tendency to poo quite a lot when they are born and the nappies coped with it fantastically well. We did have a few leaks which I thought was to be expected but on the whole they did the job very well.

Next I used the Little Ones Nappies Size 2 Mini 3-6kg (6-13lb) which has 45 in a pack for £3.97 (8.8p per nappy). Again these were very good no leakages with a snug fit. To be honest I didn't use these for long as there didn't seem to be a massive difference in size between the newborn and minis.

I am currently using the Little Ones Dry Nappies Size 3 Midi 4-9kg (9-20lb) these come in packs of 38 (10.4p per nappy) or 70 (10p per nappy). These are much bigger and give a really snug fit, we have had no leakages at all even though she sometimes wears it for 12 hours as she is going through the night. I don't tend to use creams unless I have to and I can say that her bottom is soft and not at all red. We haven't experienced any nappy rash at all which is certainly different to my first child.

Overall I can say that so far the Sainsburys nappies have been a success. They are doing an excellent job and even without the promotion I think are very good value for money, I will certainly continue using them.

Summary: As good as the leading brands!
