I am still not sure what possessed me to buy the Sangenic nappy bin. I bought it before my baby was born in a frenzy of baby buying. What a sucker! Basically the bin is a large yellow plastic pod, which has a special liner and a twist and close function. However, the plastic absorbs a strange smell. I don't know whether it is the funny smell of the scented liner bag or the vague lingering odour of old baby wee and poo, but the bin slowly takes on a strange pong. I rinsed out the bin every time I threw the full liner away with a weak bleach solution but to no avail.
I think my real gripe is that the bin costs the best part of £30 and takes up room, when in actual fact nappies put in nappy sacks and into the household bin is a far more sensible solution.
I would not recommend the Sangenic nappy bin to anyone.
