I first tried these tie on nappies when my son was in the wrigling stage 7 months. I found them easy to use eventualy soft and beautiful, we are nappy experts me and my son having tried almos all the nappied available but i must say these are my favourite. To use these the best method i have found is simply by experamentation, we use hemp boosters to well boost without bulk and cotton bottoms wraps(bummis) to cover during the day as this is less bulky than the woolen wraps except in summer when wool wraps are used as summer shorts, dont be put off by other mums telling you you are wrong and that wool is too hot in the summer rubbish ignore these people. ... Tie on nappies ar simply the best, unfortunalty every company i have found selling them fail to explein how to use them to there best. I have used these on my son since he was six weeks old, and i won't use anything else! The machine knitted pants are the best to go for, they fit well and in the summer can be worn like a pair of shorts. They help to keep your baby cool as wool actually keep their bottom 1-2 degrees cooler than disposables/ some other cloth nappies. The midwife at my antenatal class (on her 4th pregnancy) recommended this brand of cloth nappies. They were also given a high rating in a Guardian newspaper review. I sent for a catalogue which also includes details of a whole range of Schmidt natural clothing for babies and adults. I sent for a trial pack (£20) for the organic cotton wrap-around nappy. This comes in one size and you have a choice of brushed cotton, raw silk or paper liners. You also need outer covers and there is a choice of: hand knitted; machine knitted; or felted wool outers with velcro fastening.
