I came across this on offer when I was doing my food shop so decided to give it a go as it would be cheaper than the one we normally use. I have used Simple products on myself before and it is a brand I trust and like. I'm glad I discovered it as it has become our usual bath time product for the kids, even at full price.
Although the bottle says it is an all-in-one product and is suitable for washing hair, we still use kids shampoo instead so I can't comment on that perspective.
For washing the skin the product lathers up well on a sponge so you don't need to use too much and it lasts for ages. It has moisturisers added that make the skin feel lovely when the kids get out the bath. It is pH balanced, suitable for newborns and features a no tears formula, which is helpful when the kids are washing their faces and splashing it around. There is no strong fragrance from this and I feel it cleans well without being too harsh on the skin.
One of the most important elements of a bath product for parents with young children is the number of bubbles it produces. Simple doesn't disappoint! Bubbles appear when you rinse out the sponge and if you pour a little into a running tap you get loads of lovely white bubbles for the kids to play in.
Although this is labelled as a baby product, I still use it on my four year old and I'm happy to use it myself when we go swimming as it leaves the skin nice and soft.
My baby daughter loves nothing better than splashing about in the bath, she goes absolutely crazy! So i set about finding something that would not irritate her eyes when she splashes, as i found the baby bath wwe were currently using was making her eyes look red. As her skin is quite sensitive i wanted something that would not aggrivate her skin, yet still be quite moisturising as she does tend to get quite a bit of dryness.
This baby wash contains no artificial fragrance or colours and is PH balanced. Vitamin B5 is an active ingredient which soothes and softens yet does not upset the skins natural balance. The lavender in this product is calming, and i find it perfect for a night time bath to wind things down just before bedtime. It also contains glycerin to soften and moisturise the skin, since i have been using this her dry skin has really improved.
I really like how this baby bath is the perfect balance of being delicate on her skin yet moisturising. It doesn't contain alarming chemicals like many other baby baths and isn't heavily fragranced, it just smells mildly of lavender and is nice and fresh, not synthetic. As it is an all in one product i use it on her hair aswell and it leaves it nice and soft and not fly away like i have found with other different brand products.
Onto bubbles. I really don't have to use much of this to get adequate bubbles for my daughter to splash about with, one squeeze under warm running water is enough for me. As i don't use much each time i bath her i find this lasts me a really long time, and as there is 300ml in a bottle i have found one bottle has lasted me a good 4 months.
When i run out of "adult" bubble bath i use this, i find it makes my skin soft and smooth. I would not use any products on my daughter that i would not use on myself. She inherits her sensitive skin from me, so i like to be the guinea pig when trying a new baby product.
The packaging is white and has a "tiny tatty teddy" bear on the front. The flip top lid is easy to use and open, even with wet hands and like i said one squirt is all you need. It really is simple.
I would fully recommend this baby bath, my daughters eyes do not become irritated and sore and it has provided many benefits to her skin, she does not suffer from dryness and peeling like she did with a certain other very well known baby bath! I would even use this on a newborn it is that mild.
I paid £1.75 for this baby bath from Boots which i think is a fantastic price for the size of the bottle and the longevity of it. I would happily pay more to ensure i get such a gentle yet effective cleansing product. Therefore it gets and fully deserves 5 Dooyoo stars.
I bought the simple baby wash whilst on offer in Boots for my baby son. It appealed to me as on the packaging it said ideal for sensitive skin and it was unfragranced. Secondly, it claimed to be a no tears product. One of my biggest worries was the potential for irritation on my son's skin.
I was pleasantly surprised after the first use. When I first opened the packaging no dreadful chemical smell came out. The packaging is very appealing, its white with clear text on the labels, making it easy to read the details you need to know. The lid is very easy to open which means even with wet hands you can access the contents easily. I also like the nozzle, it allows a slow release of contents, as you only need a small amount, rather than coming out in a big mass causing wastage.
The product its self is great. It does not smell of anything. The wash mixed with water foams really well, creating a thick soapy lather. A small amount of the wash goes really far, meaning the bottle lasts along time. I have been using the same bottle for three months and its still going. The best thing of all about this product, is the fact its a all-in-one wash, means you only need this product for top to toe. No need for two or three different baby products, saving the pennies. After using this for so long my son has not had any bad reactions, which is the most important thing.
Overall this product is aimed at parents looking for a fuss free bath time. I would definitely say it does what it says on the packaging, making bath time an easy unstressful everyday occurence.
With two young children, I am always on the lookout for anything that will make bath time a little more fun and amongst the toys I like to have a variety of cleaning products on the go (not the bleach style ones!). I spotted this Simple baby all in one wash and loved the tatty teddy on the label. We have used the wipes by simple with no problems so I was keen to try this product.
The bottle we have is white and 300 ml. I found it on offer in Boots but have since seen it in the pound shop, I'm not sure whether they are the same size in there but this one is white plastic with a flip top lid. Inside the product is a creamy white colour with a clean but not strong smell to it. The product promises to gently clean with no tears. It has no perfume or colour in it and has natural chamomile goodness which will soothe a baby's delicate skin.
I have used this on a flannel with our two year old and also used it in the shower on myself as a shower gel with great success. I found it to be quite moisturising on my skin and it easily provides a gentle foam too. Prior to using the Simple Baby all in one wash, we were using another all purpose wash but I do use a baby shampoo on our daughter's hair even though you could use this stuff, we don't and just use it on the body.
I have no complaints about this product and really enjoyed using it myself in the shower. It didn't leave skin dry and was nice and soft to use with some gentle foaming action. I don't use products on our new baby yet but I will definitely try this when I am ready to use products in a few months so we will definitely buy more.
I bought this when it was on offer at Boots for around £1.50. I have since seen it in the pound shop so it can be bought cheaper. I have an out of town Boots with free parking which is easier to visit with children so often go there for a wander amongst the shelves so would buy this again if it's on offer at a reasonable price.
I am a big fan of the Simple line for babies. Their wipes are excellent, as is this wash and they are easy to spot with the cute tatty teddy pictured on the label. I am happy to reccomend this as a great gentle cleaning product for young kids and it also works for adults too!
We do not have a baby in our home my daughter found this Simple product in one of our local pound shops and I have to say it was a bargain for the generous 300ml bottle.
Both my daughters (25 and 20 years old) and myself have used quite a few of the Simple range and this was a new one on us - I did not even know they did body washes - but this was a pleasant surprise. Our bottle looks slightly different to the one pictured by Dooyoo as it has a cute teddy on the front which looks like the 'me to you' bear.
It tells us on the front of the sturdy plastic bottle that the contents 'gently cleanses with no tears', 'soothes baby's delicate skin' and contains chamomile but no perfume or colour. However, my daughter and I can detect a subtle smell of chamomile and maybe a little lavender? it is certainly very pleasant although the smell decreases once it washes off.
I like the way the top flips open and snaps when closed so there is little danger of it leaking. Once opened you will see that it has a perfect-sized hole through which the wash is dispensed and it does not get clogged up or go gloopy.
I have found that you only need a short squeeze to use in a pretty big bath and it lathers up a little but with few bubbles. We have had the same container now for a couple of months yet there is plenty left which makes this purchase excellent value.
I have noticed an improvement in my skin as it is less dry and more smooth to the touch. My heels have been quite cracked lately but I have found taking a bath with Simple Baby, followed by a fairly thick coat of Vaseline, has helped tremendously and saved me having to fork out for pricey cream and lotions.
The wash can also be used as a gentle shampoo which is pretty good although I prefer to use a more expensive and thicker one on my hair - however, as this product is intended to be used on babies I cannot really criticise!
It works well on sensitive skin (my daughter) plus mature skin (mine) and I am therefore awarding a full 5 stars as I intend buying in the future.
I bought Simple All-In-One Wash for my son, when he developed a few small patches of eczema at 9 months of age. I was attracted to this product because it does not contain any colours or fragrances.
The All-In-One Wash comes in a 250ml bottle which currently costs £2.29 in Boots. However, I have found it in the 99p Store, which makes it a bit of a bargain. I tend to use this product if we are travelling, because it is multi-purpose. As I'm not using it all the time, a bottle lasts for ages.
The product comes in a flip lid bottle. The cap is on the base of the bottle, which helps in getting the last of the liquid out easily. The lid closes securely, which prevents my son from squeezing the contents out too easily when I'm not looking. I also feel confident that the bottle will not leak when we are travelling.
The All-In-One Wash liquid is quite creamy and mixes easily with the water if you want to use it as a bubble bath. However, it does not produce as many bubbles as I would like. You need quite a good squirt of the liquid to generate a reasonable quantity of bubbles. My son's skin has not dried out since using this wash, which can be a problem with products of this nature.
The All-In-One Wash also makes a good gentle shampoo, which does not sting baby's eyes. As my son does not have much hair, we do not need to use much of this product as a shampoo. I find it lathers and rinses easily, which is a bonus when you have a small boy who does not want to have his hair washed.
Most importantly, Simple Baby All-In-One Wash is kind on my son's eczema. He has had no adverse reactions since we have been using it.
Simple Baby All-In-One Wash is provided in a white plastic bottle with an opaque flip top lid it is well designed and easy to pick up and open with wet hands. There is a plastic insert in the lid and this means that you will need to give a hard squeeze to dispense the body wash. This means that if, like me, you tend to forget to close things properly then it won't leak all over the bathroom side.
Simple specialise in making colour & fragrance free products for sensitive skin and this all-in-one wash has a light soap scent to it (similar to most other Simple products) and is white in colour and fairly thick.
To use this product simply add a small squirt to a flannel or bath puff and wash either yourself or your little ones and it does not create much of a lather at all but it does leave skin feeling incredibly smooth and with a lovely scent to it. I suffer from sensitive skin but have not had any reaction to this product and I even tried it out on my hair (can be used here too) just to see what it was like. It did make my hair fairly smooth but was not as good as more expensive specialist shampoos. It did lather well on my hair and when I got some of the soap in my eye it didn't irritate me much at all, I just gave it a quick splash of water and it was fine.
A 250ml bottle is available from Boots stores or www.boots.co.uk for £1.95.
This is a fairly good all-in-one product for use on baby's skin or hair and it's provided in a sturdy bottle so if you are going to be travelling and don't want to pack too much then this is perfect for your purpose. I would definitely recommend this for anybody with sensitive skin or for using on your young children. I am therefore rating this 4/5 and have knocked off one star because it didn't clean my hair as well as I would have liked it to.
Gently cleanses baby's skin and hair
