Advantages: Brilliant wipes and work oh so well!
Disadvantages: None at all!
Why would someone without children buy wipes aimed at babies? Well I'm a messy devil that's why! When I bought these I had a bf at the time and would travel to see him. Munching my way through a mountain of food whilst sitting bored on a train or bus and needing to wipe my hands afterwards these seemed an ideal solution. I also wanted them to pop in my bag for anytime use. I'm a smoker so my hands smell nasty alot of the time and I use a pc and don't want to make my keyboard stink stale etc. I'm conscious of smelling nasty! I also thought if they were gentle enough for a baby if need be I could use them for removing make up etc. I bought a few packets for a pound as I wanted to try them and I trust the brand which is 'Simple'.
The Packaging....
Oblong light green plastic wrapper with a white resealable label on the front that opens and closes to get a wipe out. On that label I'm told they are indeed Simple, Baby, Moisture and Care. Under that it says 'Experts in sensitive skin, no perfume, no colour' and under that I'm told what they are again. A pink band of colour is also on the front of the packet and on that I'm told they are moisturising with pro-vitamin B5 and added moisturisers. Then on the opposite side of the packet I'm told there are 56 wipes and given some facts which are.... 'No tears, paediatrician approved, dermatologist approved, hypoallergenic and Ph balanced'. On the back of the packet I'm told what they are and why they are good, how to use them, ingredients, caution, contact details for Accantia Health & Beauty Limited (the manufacturers of Simple products) and finally there is a bar-code. The packaging is nice enough but it is really heavy to cart about! Second small moan is that my reseal doesn't work (I've used a couple of packets so far and this happened both times to me). Not a huge problem as the wipes are so moist that I don't think I've lost any moisture but a pain to carry around open! The packet I'm using now won't open and close and I still have over 40 wipes in there!

The Wipe....
Long and fairly wide this is a cloth rather than a conventional paper wipe that I was actually expecting as I paid so little for them. Robust these really are so no matter whether your wiping you or your baby these white cotton wool type of clothes stretch to the maximum without a tear in sight and don't feel horrible to use they are really soft to the touch. These are actually very hard work to put tears in by pulling and slightly easier to put a finger through though it takes work! These are very strong indeed which is surprising for something that feels so gentle.
The wipe is so moist it's a step away from being wet. Squeeze it and no liquid comes out of it but again rub it on hands and you can see smears of wet on hands. Saying that it dries in quickly which of course means these have to be incredibly gentle and all the other things that we're promised if putting them on babies delicate skin.
These are really excellent. I personally think these would be a nightmare trying to wipe say a babies dirty bottom and I personally wouldn't recommend tackling such a job with these! Wipe mess up first and then wipe with these afterwards is my top tip as these are so wet you'd get in a mess and I'm not convinced these were made with that sort of job in mind!
Personally I feel for babies they are for a quick freshen up. Dirty faces and hands and a freshen up of the botty? Great! I'd have no worries using these on a child at all and I have a friend that swears by these as her baby kept getting nappy rash and she was scared of making it worse by using anything but still felt like she wanted to as she doesn't like nasty niffs. She reckons these didn't make it worse but actually helped soothe and soften her little girls bottom.
On me, well I'll use them for anything! On the face, hands, wiping my dirty mouth I've even used them when I had my bad bout of flu and couldn't get out of bed to freshen up on shall we say more intimate areas? lol Although these are not fragrant (they do have a slight smell but of nothing in particular) they do take away nasty smells and do remove sticky feeling from hands etc.
They tackle anything and leave you feeling very fresh and cool and clean.
The biggest plus point of these is is how these leave your skin feeling after using them and if they make my skin feel this good at aged 34 imagine how a babies skin would feel! These are so incredibly moisturising! Fantastic if conventional methods of washing hands are drying the skin out. Just forget washing them use these instead for a bit as I did. I had dry skin on my hands and used these instead to keep them clean and used some hand cream and voila within 2 days soft as a babies bum! I've used them as I said on my face and they remove a ton of make up and don't tighten the skin on the face at all and I've had no break out of spots or dry patches. This I only do in emergency I don't make a habit of it but if I'm caught short like I was other day when I stayed at bfs at last minute these are a great solution!
Overall I really do like them on every level. I can even say that even if the seal doesn't work cos it's no big deal really. If I'm at home I lie them face down to keep them fresh so there's a way around everything! I'm a big fan of soft skin and I find myself using them more and more to get it! Great for on the go refreshment and recommended from me for anyone!
Although the packet is heavy these are brilliant for the whole family. Soft and gentle, gentle cleansing with a really nice burst of fabulous moisturiser I think everyone should have them!
Can be found in all good supermarkets, do try them!
Summary: Brilliant for the whole family but watch out they are addictive to use!
