Advantages: Extra soft inflatable base, folds away

Disadvantages: Expensive,

I came across this baby bath by total accident. I had a voucher for littlewoods that needed spending and I needed a baby bath this one came up in my price range so I just bought it. I have since read several reviews and Dooyoo and have come to the conclusion I made a good choice.

I still remember the first time I had to bath my newborn baby I was so nervous and didn't have a clue what to do. I ended up letting my husband give my son his first bath. I think perhaps I'd have been less nervous if I had the summer folding baby bath that I bought for my second son as I think it helps make bath time more safer than with a tradition baby bath with is usually like a plastic mini version of a normal bath.

Here are the features of the summer folding bath

Incline position for newborns
Compact fold for easy storage/travel
Carry handle
Large open tub
Extra soft inflatable base
Durable vinyl liner
Easy release drain plug

When I first opened the boxed I wasn't sure how this bath was going to perform. It didn't look anything like a traditional baby bath all folded up and I wasn't sure how it was going to become a bath. It was however surprising easy to construct, it unfolds and has a solid plastic rim then it has 4 plastic legs that fold down and click securely into place which were in-fact surprising stable then inside is a strong vinyl lining with an inflatable base. You blow up the base in the same manner as beach ball. Once you've followed these steps your ready to go.

I don't think I personally would be prepared to go through this process at every bath time so I leave mine inflated and just fold up the legs. I find this suits me just fine but if you were short of space and had to fold it up you'd need to be prepared to do this every use which is a tad faffy.

It is quite small so it fills up quickly which is handy. I wasn't convinced of the claims it was suitable up to 3 years as it doesn't look big enough, so one day I decided to throw my eldest son who almost 3 in after bathing my new born and he did in-fact fit it. But you couldn't exactly give him a proper bath in it there just wasn't room for enough water to wash him in really, it would be struggle to rinse his hair.

I have found it perfect for bathing my newborn. A major advantage this bath has over traditional bath baths is the incline position for newborns. It make it much easier as it offers extra support for babies head and back and makes me feel more securer when bathing. Also the inflatable base its lovely for a delicate newborn much softer and kinder than a hard plastic bath when their wriggling around. You only need a few jug fulls of water to fill it up so your not waiting long to fill and empty it. It has a pull out plug in the base for removing the water.

I believe the bath now retails at around £21 which I do think is quite expensive but it does a good job so I am happy to recommend it.

Summary: Great baby bath for newborns and easy to store away.
