It's only in more recent decades that a suntan has become fashionable. One with such a tan would be classed as being healthy and often a symbol of beauty. (This is due to the fact that the UV rays from the Sun are our main source of Vitamin D, which helps strengthen your bones, muscles and immune system making you feel better all round.) But it never used to be like that for centuries the only people who had a good tan were the hard labourers who worked outdoors all day. Although not the cheapest option for suncream, they are very handy to have in the car or change bag for emergencies. I am forever going out with my daughter and forgetting to put some cream on her arms or face on a sunny day, with these in the boot though a quick wipe and she's covered.
