      Perfect!

As my daughter has suffered with eczema since she was born I have always been conscious of what I buy and I have always opted for buying branded products for my daughter whether it be nappies, wipes or bath stuff. The same principle applied when my daughter had become too old to use Johnson's baby shampoo I changed to L'Oreal, I had never really given the cheaper brands a second thought as I thought there would be a greater chance of her skin becoming irritant. As it so happens her eczema has been getting better over the past year to the point of it being almost non-existent, so whilst shopping in Superdrug several months ago I came across a Superdrug branded shampoo and conditioner and I thought I would give it a try. At 99p I wouldn't be losing out on much if I found it to be no good. The shampoo/ conditioner is presented in an oddly round shaped bottle but it still has a flat base so it is able to stand on the bathroom counter rather steadily. The colour of the bottle is a very sweet looking pink; it is plainly decorated with a small picture of a lion on the front along with the product name and use directions and ingredients on the back. The shampoo itself is a light pink in colour, it's rather runny but I don't find this to be much of a problem. It's easy to apply to the hair and doesn't need much of a rubbing in before the entire head is covered. My daughter really dislikes her hair being touched so the quicker the better really and this shampoo doesn't disappoint. I found it so easy to wash out, it didn't need much of a scrubbing just a small submersion into water and it immediately washed off the hair. It was quicker and easier than the more expensive shampoos such as L'Oreal. Once towel dried the hair was easy to brush which is not common with my daughter's hair because of her curls but I found it so easy and it didn't hurt her at all which is excellent as I tend to find that after towel drying her hair it is difficult to brush. I left her hair to dry naturally after using this shampoo/ conditioner and I noticed a difference straight away. Her hair looked more soft and shiny where as it usually looks knotted because of the curls. I also noticed that the added benefit of a double shampoo/ conditioner made her hair look more healthy and well-conditioned. Unusually we only use shampoo but the added conditioner makes an excellent difference. So the shampoo/ conditioner works fine and it also smells lovely. It has a very distinct smell of strawberry angel delight, in fact it smells exactly the same, my first reaction was that I wanted to eat it. The smell also stays on the hair afterwards giving it a lovely fresh and slightly edible scent all day. The most important part for me was that it didn't irritate my daughter's skin, we have been using the shampoo for several weeks now and I haven't noticed any irritation and it hasn't inflamed her eczema. The shampoo comes in a 250ml bottle which is the same as an average L'Oreal shampoo but I have found that the Superdrug brand has lasted longer and it is also a lot cheaper. Personally I find this to be an excellent shampoo/conditioner and I will continue to use this in the future, I would highly recommend it.
