Advantages: Cheap, environmentally friendly, and in my case best for baby

Disadvantages: Starting cost and a bit bulky

Does my son sneak out to the pub and drink beer all night, or do all toddlers wee about five pints at night? If your toddler is the same and you find disposables totally useless as they leak, try Terries. Whenever I use disposables, because he is being baby-sat, or we are on holiday or whatever, I find him laying in pee every morning. Not only is it yucky for him, poor little pickle, it also means I have to spend half an hour sorting out his bed. I don't know how you disposables mums cope, it would drive me mad if it happened all the time. I have tried every single brand, (and Pampers were one of the worst!) and although some, such as Huggies were ok, with only tiny leaks, none matched up to Terries.

As Christian gets bigger I have cut some of my terries into thirds, to act as booster pads at night time, and I get no leaks at all. None! Not even a tiny patch around the leg whole etc. I also find he gets nappy rash in disposables, a problem he never gets in Terries.

Even if you can't be bothered to use them in the day, give them a go at night. They really are so simple to use if you have a washing machine, and we have a tiny flat and no spin dryer but still manage to dry them. They cost me about £30 two years ago, and baby number two is about to start using them now. Boots do a washing powder that you use at a high temperature (90 degrees) which means you don't even have to bother with soaking. I put zoraflora disinfectant in the machine with them, to give them a nice smell, but you might want to check with washing machine manual before doing so, as it may not be recommended!

I really wouldn't use anything else, and although I sometimes use the all-in-one reusables in the day, at nighttime Terries are another class, and the fact they are slighty bulky is not a problem at all, as baby is asleep anyway! Also, most babies tend not to poo at night, so if it’s the removing the pooey liner bit that puts you of
f Terries, only using at night would help you avoid that.

In conclusion, give it a go. If you don't like them they make excellent floor cloths etc.!

Me too - lol! I'm far too lazy to use terries and I'm already drowning in condensation in our 1 bed flat without washing nappies as well. My baby doesn't tend to wee at night hardly at all I have noticed. It's quite interesting that you say terries absorb wee well, cos my image of terries is leaks everywhere and having to change nappies loads. I can't imagine how they can hold anything!

very good opinion, and it has made me think, but im afraid im lazy and disposables are far too convenient.
