Advantages: cheap, moisturises, removes makup easily

Disadvantages: None from me or my family

Shopping for me recently has become a little game which I play, I try to see if I can lower my bill each time I go, this week I managed to make a big saving by buying Tesco's baby lotion instead of Johnsons and saved over £1 by doing so!

~~THE BOTTLE~~

The bottle is a nice light pink colour and has the title of the product on the front with a cartoon type picture of a smiling baby's face. There is also a few words which claim that this product is suitable for newborns and gently cleans and moisturises, paediatrician approved and hypoallergenic. The back of the bottle has a white label in the middle and here you can find the directions for use, ingredients and the Tesco promise.

~~THE PRODUCT~~

The cream is a nice light pick colour and is a nice decent consistency. It is not too runny so it does not run out of your hand or off cotton wool. The top of the bottle does have a flip lid which makes this easier to get the cream out of an d simple to close one handed when the cream is in the other hand. I also find this makes it stay cleaner.

~~USING THE CREAM AND RESULTS~~

Now for me when I was growing up there was always a bottle of Baby lotion on my mom's dressing table as she used it as a makeup remover so when I was old enough to wear make up this is the product I too chose to take it off. I find it mush easier to put a small dollop onto a cotton wool ball and them gentle wipe over my eyes or where ever the make up is and it just wipes off smoothly and easily. I find that I am never left with bits of stubborn mascara and this does also remove waterproof makeup with ease.

As I have got even older and now the mother of 3 boys I always found that this was an excellent cream to pub onto my boys after they had their baths or if they had a patch of dry skin. Saying this I would always buy the Johnsons brand for them. As I am testing this cheaper product I decided to smother them all in it after their last bath and found it to be just as good. It does rub into the skin extremely easily and does not leave it feeling greasy at all.

Another way I have found this cream useful is for the dry and rough skin which I get on my elbows. It really has made it much softer and nicer to look at.

~~SMELL~~

There is a pleasant smell to this cream and it does always remind me of babies. It is a hard one to describe and unless you have ever smelt a new born baby then you will not know what I mean. The smell is not at all over powering and it does last on the skin for quite a few hours after. I found that my boys did not complain about the smell as some might think it was 'too girly' but not my boys and they enjoyed wearing it.

~~INGREDIENTS~~

I will list the ingredients to this cream for those who wish to know them:-

Aqua, Paraffinum Liquidum, Glyceryl Sterate SE, Centearyl, Alcohol, Glycerin, Petrolatum, Ceteareth - 20, Dmethicone, Phenoxyethanol, Parfum, Imidazolidinyl Urea, Citric Acid, Methylparaben, Tetasodium ETDA, Ethylparaben, Butylparaben, Propylparaben, Isobutylparaben, CI 17200,

~~WARNINGS~~

There is a warning on the back of the bottle which warns to keep out of the eyes, I have once or twice got this into my eye and believe me it is not nice and makes the eyes stream with water. I do recommend that you keep your eye tightly closed if using this to remove eye makeup! If this does go into your eye then rinse with clean warm water.

~~PRICE AND AVAILABILITY~~

As this is Tesco's own brand then it is only available from Tesco shops. It comes in a 500ml bottle and the price which I paid was £1.06 which I though was a bargain as the Johnson's was just over £2 and was a lot smaller than this bottle.

~~OVERALL~~

After using this cream on both myself, my boys and the removal of my makeup then I have to recommend this to all. It gives a wonderful soft finish to the skin and is excellent at removing all types of makeup with ease. Definitely a new bargain buy for my house.

Summary: An excellent cheap baby lotion for the whole family to use
