When I had my first daughter I only bought branded products for her but I slowly came to realise just how much money I was wasting and that just because these products were more expensive doesn't mean they are any better. By the time I had my second daughter I only bought supermarket brands unless the more expensive ones were on offer and I still do now.

I bought the Tesco shampoo when I ran out of the Johnsons products I had been given when she was born. The product obviously comes from Tesco with this being their own product, a 500ml bottle costs just over £1 which is about half the cost of the Johnsons version.

Tesco had very cleverly marketed this product by making it look very like the Johnsons product although it has changed recently. The bottle now has a frosted look to it rather than being see through although you can still see the yellow liquid inside. The bottle has a label on stating the name of the product and that this is a super gentle shampoo.

The bottle has a flip top lid which when you flip it smells lovely although not as nice as the Johnsons shampoo, the shampoo is thick and bright yellow in colour and lathers really well on both my daughters hair. My elder daughter has thick long hair and my younger daughter has thin and still very short hair but it doers work well on both.

The shampoo is very easy to rinse from both my daughters hair and doesn't leave any residue, my elder daughter needs to use a conditioner after using this product as her hair is so thick and tangles easily but my younger daughter only uses this product. Both my girls have lovely shiny hair after use and their hairs smell lovely as the smell of the shampoo does remain on the hair.

This shampoo is lovely, it is a great price, it smells nice and leaves hair lovely, it is also very gentle on the skin as both my daughters have suffered with eczema on and off and this has never irritated the skin the only part that Johnsons is better on is that it smells nicer than this one although this smells nice too it just isn't quite that new baby smell that Johnsons have mastered. Highly recommended.
