Keeping 4 in nappies for less than £18 a week! (Tesco Nappies)
Member Name: beci1+3
Advantages: Cheap enough to buy for four babies Disadvantages: Not so good during the night. I have a 16 month old toddler, and 12 week old triplets, so nappies are always top of our shopping list. When the triplets were born, Tesco were the only shop locally who sold premature nappies, so we'd be going in and buying them in bulk. The babies soon grew out of them, and are now in newborn size Tesco Ultrasoft nappies. With 24 in a pack for less than £2, we tend to buy 3 packs roughly every four days. My toddler is an awkward size and shape, very tall and slim, and Tesco Super Fit are the only nappies we can get to fit her properly. The only problem we have is that Tesco nappies are maybe too absorbent, and so they keep on soaking up the pee until they can't take any more, and then "explode", and as this usually happens during the night, we either wake up to a wet baby (or two, or three), or to our toddler having removed her nappy - but this doesn't seem to bother them. Still, as far as the cost goes, the nappies are great value, and once the triplets are a bit bigger, we could use proper night-time nappies for them, but for now these are just fine. Summary: Great sizing, good value, and great for big families on a tight budget. |
