Advantages: Affordable, excellent absorbsion

Disadvantages: None

My daughter is the fussiest of children and is very stubborn...not something she gets off me....anyway my dearest and perhaps not so dainty daughter has never had a problem when it comes to nappies, not unlike her elder brother.

My son when he was of the age to be in nappies used to come out in the most horrendous red and very sore rash whenever we used an alternative nappy, so the young man had to have Pampers even Huggies didn't come close to the mark.

My daughter on the other hand is the complete opposite, the more expensive the nappy and the rash is as bad as her brothers was, cheap is the answer for this one; although I do have to draw a line at Tesco Value Nappies as she had a reaction a few times with those.

This is my review on Tesco nappies...the other ones.
------------------------------------------------- ----------------------

Now I have been using Boots own brand nappies for a while now but completely forgot to buy some the other day whilst I was out shopping...you know how it is, you are trying to juggle an unhappy two year old and shopping and remember what was on your list that you left at home on the counter in the kitchen.

Yesterday I suddenly remembered that the only nappy my daughter had left was the one that she was wearing, panic ensued and a trip to Tesco's swiftly followed complete with daughter in tow. Walking down the aisle that contains the mobile phones, toiletries and household stuff we finally get to the baby section.

I grabbed the biggest bag of nappies that I could find and headed for the checkout with a daughter who was looking like she was deciding whether to take her nappy off there and then in the middle of the shop.

------------------------------------------------- ----------------------

The nappies
----------------

The pack of nappies I got was Tesco's Essentials Economy Junior Size 5, the pack informed me that this particular pack holds a mega 50 nappies...no chance of running out in the next few days then.

The pack itself is rather pleasant; it is a turquoise colour with a nice picture of a toddler on the front and a clear plastic carry handle at one end and writing to tell me that I have indeed bought nappies.

Opening the pack is easy enough; the top at one end is perforated making getting to the nappies a doddle; once opened you are greeted with an array of nappies neatly folded, I picked out one of the nappies...needed to I should say....it was either that or have a mega clean up operation.

The nappy is of a reasonable size with sticky grippers at either side to secure the nappy on baby and each nappy has a different cartoon animal picture on the front at the waist.

Performance
-----------------

Does this nappy stand up to the test of a very leaky little girl? Oh yes, my daughter has been wearing these since Friday but has been in these a few times in the past. I find that some nappies leak after an hour or so of wearing, especially over night. These nappies can hold anything that my daughter throws at...or rather...puts in them.

Price
-------

These nappies cost £6.29 a fraction of the price of Pampers nappies which cost £8.98 for 46 nappies.

Would I recommend them to anyone else?
------------------------------------------------- -------

Yes I would, I know that some people are fussy and believe that the more expensive nappies are the only ones suitable for their precious bubba's bottoms but I can honestly say that after having one child who couldn't wear the cheap version to another child who can only wear the cheap ones, these are a good buy and are well worth adding to your shopping list.

Summary: A great nappy at a great cost
