Advantages: Cheaper than Pampers, more in packet, no leaks.

Disadvantages: Gives clammy and red bottoms sometimes.

We have used Pampers for both my son and daughter until recently when shopping in Tescos I remembered that I had read a review praising the quality of Tesco's own brand nappies. I picked them up and had a look, packaging being of the same type as pampers (plastic), OK so far, then compared the price with Pampers, and I found that I got 4 extra nappies for £2 less! OK not a big deal, but with two kids in nappies, there was a saving to be made!

I got two packs of 26 (size 5 junior) for £7, and went home to try them eagerly (on the babies of course!). Once I opened them they seemed to larger than a size 5 in Pampers, and not as soft or pliable as Pampers. They had great sticky tabs to seal and reseal; so sticky you find you have to tug hard to pull them off!

So putting one on my son first (3) he seemed to be fine, same comfort and hold as Pampers, as did my daughter. When wet and/or dirty, they hold the mess in fine, although do tend to bulge a bit. Also, with a wet nappy, their bottoms seem to be a bit damp and clammy, and a bit red some of the time. The night-time nappy also is a winner, with no leaks at all!

In conclusion, I would say that these are a good, cheaper alternative to Pampers, but may have to switch back to Pampers due to the red and clammy bottoms.

Summary: Cheaper alternative to Pampers, but had red and clammy bottoms so maybe for night-time when training
