My daughter is now out of nappies, but I saw this old opinion, and thought it was wortha rewrite. I was very wary of own brand nappies, as I am a great believer that you get what you pay for. However, last year they were on special offer at my local store, (buy one get one half price) so I decided to give them a try.

The maxi were the ones I tried, and a pack of 46 cost £4.99. Tesco claimed that there were strips of lotion in the nappy to make the baby's skin soft and smooth, and although there was not a huge difference, there was certainly evidence of something other than wee on her bottom, and as my daughter was prone to nappy rash, it also seemed to keep that at bay too.

The nappies, as do most on the market, claim to have an ultra absorbent core in order to keep the baby dry. In this area, I had to give the nappy full marks, apart from a hint of some lotion, there was nothing else on my daughter's skin, even when she had worn the nappy all night, and drunk her juice through the night. The nappies have never leaked either, even when seemingly full to bursting point. The lotion also helped to absorb some of the smell which was welcomed by my husband!

I used these nappies as much as Huggies , just depending on special offers, and I can confidently say that while wearing these nappies my daughter has never suffered from nappy rash.

The nappies are a nice comfortable fit. The leg cuffs are quite soft and don't leave the red marks that other ill fitting nappie seem to do, and the waistband was a nice fit.

Give these nappies a try, you are sure to be impressed.
