Advantages: Very cheap

Disadvantages: Not very absorbant

I'm all for getting a bargain and being cost-effective, but I hate to say that the Value Nappies are a waste of time.

While I quite like the Tesco own-brand stuff, and most of it IS good value for money, I won't be bothering with the nappies again.

Admittedly, their own range of nappies are quite good, but the Value ones just don't stand up to the job.

They aren't as absorbent as I'd like them to be, so they're no good for babies that sleep right through the night. By the time baby wakes up the nappy will be round their knees for one thing. The other thing is that when you come to undo them, the sticky tabs tend to split the outer cover, so if the nappy is really wet you could end up with crystals all over the floor.

The outer plastic also tends to feel quite damp when the nappy is full which is a bit off-putting.

They're good enough as an emergency supply to keep in the back of the cupboard, but for everyday use you'd be better off with their proper baby range nappies and not the cheapies.

They cost around £2.10 for a pack of 20 maxi size.
