Advantages: As above
Disadvantages: None
Tesco’s own brand training pants. Tesco’s training pants have my money. They are sold in two sizes, the medium caters for smaller toddlers and come in packets of 18, and the large size is suitable for larger toddlers and older children and comes in packs of 15.Costing about a pound less than branded disposable training pants they are snug fitting and quite adequate. Reasonably priced, they are absorbent and economical with minimal leakage. My 2 year old has a thing about disposable nappies, now that she is a big girl she removes them with vigour. Insistent that she still needed protection during the night and whilst sleeping in the afternoon, I quite by accident discovered Tesco’s own brand whilst en route to our holiday destination, fearing puddles in the car seat I stopped in to Tesco’s and bought their own brand, as they were on a special deal, I was a little reluctant as I normally use branded nappies, but felt that it was a risk that wasn’t to expensive to take. Not only was I surprised by the price, but also the quality of this product was quite astounding. It was capable of coping with an entire night of toddler wee’s, and was still easily removable without disintegrating in the morning. Both the front and back of the softly covered pants are printed with animals and the words front or back written on it in order to avoid confusion on which way round they should be worn. They are fairly discreet under leggings and tracksuit trousers, and are ideal worn under dresses. My toddler has no difficulty in either pulling them down nor up again, and can now with a little coaching do both of these independently. The elastic on the legs and waist are tight, but not too tight, and loose enough to allow easy access without any restriction of movement. Disappointed that my own local Tesco’s store was not stocking them, I requested that they did, and was pleased to
receive a phone call the very next day from Tesco’s to inform me that they would be stocking their own brand shortly, since then they have continually stocked them and I have always been able to get them when needed. I feel confident that my child is certainly benefiting from close fitting reliable training pants that I believe are of a higher standard than the leading brands, which is helping to prevent those little accident that can be frustrating and demoralising for both parent and child. In short, highly recommended.
