Advantages: Great Value for Money, As Good as the Leading Brand, Sensitive

Disadvantages: Can never get just one out!

I usually just use Pampers or Johnsons wipes on my one year old son as he has quite sensitive skin, but as I was doing my usual shopping last week I saw the Tesco wipes on offer for 2 for £2 (or £1.88 each). That is really cheap compared to the Pampers or Johnsons wipes that are £2.49 per packet and every penny counts when you have a baby.

****What do you get****

You can have either scented or unscented and the wipes come in a pack of 80 that has a flip top closable lid rather than the usual sticky re-sealable type. I thought I would give the scented a go as my son seems okay with the Pampers scented and the packet says that it is as good as the leading brand.

The scented wipes are in an attractive light purple pack with a picture of a baby on the front and as I mentioned before there is a flip top lid. The wipes state that they are as good as the leading band, consultant dermatologist approved, help protect delicate skin and contain baby lotion – all sounds very good.

As soon as you open the wipes you get a whiff of that lovely baby smell mixed with a slight floral fragrance, the wipes are strong, moist and very ‘effective’ at cleaning mucky babies (or adults if needs be!) You pull a wipe out the top and as with all wipes you need two hands as otherwise you end up pulling out the whole packet, although I must say that these ones are slightly easier to use – that would be a very good idea for someone to bring out wipes that only come out one at a time as its not the easiest think to do when you have a baby wiggling on the changing mat!

****My View****

Anyway, I did indeed find the wipes to be very delicate on my sons skin with no signs of irritation at all just soft clean baby smelling skin, at the same time the wipes were very strong and relatively thick and the moistness you would expect from a baby wipe. I would actually say that these wipes are very similar to the Pampers ones. The wipes are not only useful for nappy changing, they can also be used at feeding and plan times and as mentioned before can be used on adults as well

****Other useful information****

Product and ingredients not tested on animals by or for Tesco.

The packet warns to keep out of reach of children and avoid contact with the eyes. If contact occurs rinse well with running water.

Bag it and bin the wipes don’t flush them.

The wipes are covered by the usual Tesco guarantee that if you are happy that they will refund or replace and the side of the packet also shows a full list of the ingredients.

****Finally****

Seems like quite a short review this time but I can’t really think of anything else to say except that I shall definitely be buying them again and would recommend them to anyone. The wipes are excellent value for money without compromising quality. I first wrote this review on Ciao under the name jens25.
