Advantages: None - see attached review

Disadvantages: Wipes too small, thin and dry. Barely even count as 'wet' wipes, in fact

With these useless baby wipes, the Tesco own-brand 'value' range are clearly having a larf over what their foolish, naive customers are prepared to spend their money on, yet again.

Yes, Tesco Value Baby Wipes are the opposite of everything a useful product of this type should be:

They are unusually small even compared to a worst-of-the-rest competitor's budget range of 'standard' wipes.
They are incredibly thin.
They are made of strange, slightly scratchy fabric / material stuff.
What the heck kind of solvent have they impregnated the wipes with? They're dryish and yet at the same time seem almost oily - looking not unlike greaseproof paper, with their semi-translucent appearance.

(They're not unfragranced but I can't quite remember the smell, so I've probably blanked that part out.)

In terms of the wipes' inadequate area and poor texture then, they are quite literally, not fit to wipe someone else's bum on: even if that bum should happen to belong to a tiny baby and it doesn't need all that much in the way of cleaning up, Tesco Value Baby Wipes will be guaranteed not to do the job properly.

Even the packaging for the product is rubbish. The plastic they've used is too flimsy, which means that the 'dispensing hole' provided on the outer packaging tears very easily. The tears run and extend every time you remove more wipes, ultimately leaving you with a pack ripped half open that can't be reclosed (as the sticky tab they've given you is, predictably, too small to be of much use in holding the rips together). This means the (already dryish) wipes in a packet are soon subject to additional drying out.

You got 80 wipes for about 50p, the one time I bought them. This is not a good deal as compared with standard baby wipes, you'll need to use 2 to 3 times the number of Tesco Value wipes to get even a semblance of a similar clean-wiping effect.

This is an absolute rubbish product.

Summary: A useless waste of planetary resources
