Tesco Everyday Value Baby Wipes
Advantages: Cleanse well
Disadvantages: Quality can vary between packs
When I first had my baby I was very concerned about using baby wipes and stuck to cotton wool and water for a long time, however, after a while I started to try baby wipes and found a lot of them to be expensive and overly perfumey. I stubbled across the Tesco Value Baby wipes at only 25p for a pack and decided to give them a go. The are designed to be gentle on your babies skin whilst being mild and good at cleansing. They are dermatologically tested. The pack is simply white and blue, so not fancy, but for the price you cannot complain. I started using these wipes about 2 years ago and they came in a pack of 80, today they come in packs of 72, and have increased in price to around 50p, but they are still loads cheaper than many other brands.
I was a iot sceptical they would be any good owing to them being a value brand and also so inexpensive, I was also concerned about the ingredients, but after checking the leading brand of baby wipes are comparable.
The pack says that they contain the following:
Aqua, propylene glycol, phenoxyethanol, methylparaben, sodium coco pg-dimonium, clhoride phosphate, aloe baradensis leak extract, tocopheryl acetate.
Overall I find that they clean my little one very well, I use them when changing his nappy, to wips his hands and face after eating or playing and they always do a good job. I also use them to wipe down his highchair and it cleans this up well, getting rid of food stains and such like.
The wipes come in a soft plastic packet and are obtained by lifting a small sticky label, whereby you then pull out wipes as needed. I have found the quality of this sticky label to be very random, sometimes it sticks well unitl the end of the pack keeping the wipes dry at other times, it comes off straight away and the wipes can dry out a bit. The wipes themselves are soft and cottony and tend to varying in size and shape when I pull them out of the packet, they do a good job though, so this does not bother me. The wipes cannot be flushed down the toilet and must be put in the bin after use. Also the pack says to keep out of reach of small children and avoid getting them in your eyes, if so then rinse with water. They are fragrance free.
The wipes tend to keep the same level of moisture throughout the use of the pack, though I have had instances where the first 10 or so wipes have been dry, and the last 10 very wet, I assume this is just how they have been sitting, but this is not a great problem.
Overall I would recommend these wipes to others, as they cleanse well without irritating my babies skin, they are easy enough to use and carry around and can also be used to clean surfaces not just skin, in addition they are cheap
Summary: Do a good job and are inexpensive
