Review of Tesco Value fragranced nappy bags
**THE PRODUCT**
Tesco Value Nappy bags as the name implies, are a disposal bag designed for used nappies. They are lightly fragranced to mask unpleasant odours associated with used nappies. The product is basically a pale turquoise/blue plastic bag, large enough to take a soiled nappy and the accompanying baby wipes, cotton wool, loo paper or whatever else a modern mother cleans their baby with! The bags have a pair of loop type handles which can be securely tied for depositing in the nearest bin. The fragrance is rather delicate and quite difficult to describe, the nearest I can compare it to is a sort of baby powdery, soapy aroma. It is certainly not unpleasant but nothing remarkable. It is after all there to disguise nasty whiffs not titillate the nose!
**PRICE, QUALITY AND QUANTITY**
Tesco are renowned for their value products, some are excellent, some are not, Value nappy bags most definitely fall into the excellent category! At around 25p for 100 bags, the price is very reasonable. The bags are presented in a white plastic wrapper which bears the familiar blue and white Tesco logo and the product name and description in red. The wrapper is not resealable and unfortunately does seems to disintegrate with use, but given the price who cares?
The warnings are printed on the side of the wrapper--
"Keep polythene bags away from babies, young children and pets to avoid danger of suffocation.
These bags are fragranced therefore if an allergic reaction develops discontinue use.
Unsuitable for food use.
Do NOT flush down the toilet, dispose in normal waste bins."
The bags are very good quality for the price and although quite flimsy, stout enough for the job they were intended for! The approximate size of each bag is 285 x 310mm including the handle.
**WHY DO I BUY THE PRODUCT?**
Why indeed! After all, as I have bravely added my age to my Dooyoo profile, anyone with nothing else to do, can work out that I am unlikely to have a nappy using aged child!
I actually purchase this product to use as dog poo bags. Being small enough to shove in a pocket and easy to tie up and dispose of, they are an ideal solution to dog fouling and cleaning up afterwards! Revolting topic for my review I know, but as a responsible dog owner I do feel very strongly that dogs are blamed for making unhygienic messes unfairly, it is the owners duty to clean up after their pet. Tesco Value nappy bags make the job simple, quick and cheap! As a point of interest, bags especially marketed for the purpose I use the Tesco bags for, cost in the region of £1.99 for 25 in a well known pet requiste store. OK they are biodegradeable, whereas Tesco's are not, but with such a significant difference, I'm afraid I have to forgo the greener option and be dictated to by my purse!
I have to say that the bags are actually very handy to have around, I use them for a variety of reasons, storing small items in the car glove box, carrying a damp facecloth on picnics with grandchildren, holding my 'finds' on walks, (I am a bit of a scavenger you see and am always picking up stones, fossils and other odds and ends!) and for wrapping anything vaguely 'smelly' before putting in the rubbish bin. I am sure everyone has their own use for this sort of product!

**MY THOUGHTS & CONCLUSION**
A basic product that does it's job with no frills or fancy promises. Although I do not use the product for it's intended purpose, I know my daughter buys them for nappy disposal and is perfectly satisfied with them. A useful product at a very sensible price.
Well done Tesco!!!
