Advantages: Sturdy, washable, easy to store.

Disadvantages: Disney Winnie-the-Pooh design.

This bathing support cost me approx. £10 and was well worth it.

It has a metal frame with a removable washable fabric cover (with velcro fastenings). There is a design of the Disney version of Winnie-the-Pooh on the fabric - I personally find the Pooh merchandise a bit boring. Its length is approximately 40-50 cm. The height of the head end is about 13-14cm high. It is stated as suitable for newborns.

Because the cover is an artificial fibre, it dries very quickly which means you do not end up laying your baby onto a cold surface if you bathe them regularly. The shape of the support is useful for hooking over the side of the bath when you have finished with it.

I bought this support instead of a baby bath as we live in a small flat with limited storage space, it meant that I was able to wash my son in the family bath from birth with condidence. There is no wear and tear, he outgrew it and it still looks like new.

It supports your baby enough so that you can have a hand free to reach for the soap without fear of your baby slipping into the water. Of course, you should still never leave your baby unattended, even for a small amount of time.

I have used many products by "The First Years" and will definitely be buying more in the furture.
