Worry free bath time with a tigex baby bath! (Tigex Baby Bath Seat)

Advantages: Baby is well supported, adult has hands free for washing and playing

Disadvantages: Water line made bath a bit too shallow for our baby.

My son was very long from birth, so much so he filled the baby bath when the midwife was showing us what to do! He never seemed that comfortable in the baby bath because of this so we quickly looked for something else to move on to. We looked at a number of supports but the ergonomically shaped Tigex seat seemed an excellent choice.

The Tigex bath seat is suitable from birth till about 8 months and can be used in a normal adult bath. It is made of a sturdy plastic molded so the baby is completely supported and comfortable in a lying position. Baby will feel save and happy (as will mum!). The plastic means it is durable and hygienic; it's really easy to clean and dry. The seat is secured to the bath by 2 suckers, and has lines on the side to show were the water showed be filled to.

We found this seat really great once we got the hang of it. Our son could splash his arms and legs lots, and enjoyed a freedom in the bath we could never give him while supporting him. Our hands were also left free to play and wash him, bath time was much more enjoyable for all. My son found it very comfortable, it supported him well and he never seemed like he was falling out of it. It was great to clean, very light and compact so easy to store or take away with you. I found it excellent for bathing my son in other people's houses or hotels as it was so easy to take and I knew I would be able to use it in any bath.

The only problem we had with this seat was the water level line. It made a very shallow bath which my son hated, I think it made him cold and feel insecure. We decided to try the seat in a deeper bath, we felt confident the seat was still secure and as we never turned our back so we felt happy to still use it. I must stress the instructions say not to fill past the line, but thought I would add how we found it worked best for our son anyway.

We used the seat until he was about 7 months old. Although he still loved it he was starting to try and sit up in it, so we decided to move onto an upright seat (we went for the Aquapod, which has been another great success!).

All in all this was an excellent buy, great value for money and a great success with our son. I will definitely be hanging onto it for any other children we have in the future!
