Advantages: Convenient and time saving.

Disadvantages: A little bit smelly.

I think this is a "must buy" for any new mum and wouldn't be without it. The nappy wrapper is a handy tool to have in the nursery as you can dispose of nappies in a sanitary and non smelling wrap until it is convenient to take them outside. The wrapper saves a lot of time so you do not have to go to the dustbin after every nappy change and it only needs emptying every 4 or 5 days. It also means that any night time changes are dealt with quickly and nappies need not be left until the morning. The internal wrapping is bought separately and is placed in the top, tied off and pushed through into the bin. You then put a nappy into the bin and turn the handle. This twists the wrap and seals the nappy inside. When it is time to empty, you simply twist the handle on the lid and the wrapping material is cut. You can then empty into a carrier bag and put outside. This job can be a bit smelly and I get my husband to do it, but all in all it much more convenient that buying nappy bags and taking them out to the bin after each change.
