Advantages: can be set up in seconds
Disadvantages: some of the liners do tare easily.
This is probably the most useful product i have come across from Tommee Tippee in a long while. As most parents will know potty training can be difficult at the best of times never mind how difficut it is when you are actually away from home.
Now i stumbled across this whilst on holiday and carrying a much larger potty around with us. I found it in Woolworths for £14.99 (now i know that may seem a little extreem as i have since found them cheeper in Boots and Mothercare). The refils cost around £3.99 for a pack of 30 (well they do in Woolworths)but i have found it to be a god-send.
The toilet/potty itself clips and clicks into place(you dont even need the instructions that come with it) and the liners just slip inside and are folded over the edge. Simple as that, in a matter or seconds its ready to use - and as any parent knows when potty training you only have a matter of seconds before you have a puddle on your hands. Now my daughter has been using this at home as well as when we are out as its the only potty that i have found she will actually use,and believe me ive tried everything from the shops own to toilet queen potty to big girls toilet but this one she actually will use.
The liners are quite soft although you will sometimes need to apply nappy cream as the first few uses can be quite rough.
The liners are also a little off putting as they look like giant nappy bags which is esantially what they are - well the ones i recieved with the potty were - they even smelled like nappy bags.but dont be put off by this, they are great at masking the smell of wee and quite suprisingly can discuise poo as well.
Overall this potty is quite a neat and tidy on the go kind of thing,if your the kind of parent thats always on the go or you just want a neat compact potty to take just incase or to leave with the grandparents then i recomend this one.
Its really easy to set up the base even my 20month old daughter has managed to set it up herself. The liners can be a little tricky to attatch but as yet they have proved easy to remove (well i have not had one fling up at me s i was removing it yet).
All in all this is a great travel product that takes up little room in a travel/changing bag.
Summary: can be set up in seconds-even a child can do it
