Advantages: Fun, Safe For Kids, Slightly Different To Usual Bath Toys

Disadvantages: Slightly on the expensive side

Tomy's Swim N Sing Turtle is the follow up to Splashy The Penguin and my 9 month old son absolutely loves it!

Dressed in a red and white striped swimsuit the turtle floats in water (as you would expect from a bath toy!! :-) ), until the child picks it up and places it in his or her mouth - or maybe that's just in my house!........

There is a wind up dial on the turtle shell which, when wound up, works the arms and legs and allows it to do what turtles were born to do and swim up and down your bath! However, my favourite bit about this toy is when you push down on his Mohican - and which self respecting turtle would be seen without a spiky hairstyle these days!!! Pushing down on his green hair causes him to start humming Beautiful Blue Danube, if he is on his back he hums normally however if he is face down he will gargle it as if he is under the bath water. The humming can change mid song as well, so if you start him off on his back, then turn up the right way and then back upside down again his humming/gargling would change accordingly!

When boxed the product weighs 400g (information shamelessly stolen from Amazon!) and therefore weighs slightly less when out of the box and I would estimate it's length at around 6-7 inches.

Tomy recommend an age range of 12 months upwards but as previously mentioned my son is 9 months old and I have absolutely no qualms about letting him play with it, plus he absolutely loves it!

I paid a little under £10 for this in a toy shop so it is by no means the cheapest bath toy in the world however seeing my boy's face light up when he sees it makes it amazing value for money!

I would recommend this for all families with small children and I'm sure it will make the parents smile/laugh as much as the kids!

Thanks for reading - all criticism/tips gratefully received!

Summary: A top bath toy which delights both kids and parents!

Does it take/need/eat batteries? Not seen this one before - looks fun!
