Express Review on Totsbots
by NewMum - written on 30/09/09
Rating:

I love the look of these nappies but it stops there. I made the mistake of buying the full 'kit' without trying these as I had read so many good reviews. Perhaps I am putting them on wrong or our baby is too small but given they are suppose to be suitable from birth to potty and easy to use, these don't seem to be reasonable reasons for the repeated leakage. It is so bad that on one occasion we had to change her twice before we could settle her to sleep; as we moved her from the changing station to the crib in our room she wet her nappy and it leaked through to her clothes. This was not only frustrating for us but the repeated nappy changes then unsettled her meaning we struggled to get her off to sleep.
Please try before you buy!

We are lucky enough to live in an area where the council runs a nappy library. This is a service whereby you can borrow a range of different washable nappies to try for a couple of weeks in order to see which style suits you best. This meant that I was able to try 10-15 different brands of nappy before settling on the Tots Bots fluffles (if ...  Read the complete review

I tried a few brands of cloth nappies before settling on Tots Bots and have now been happily using them for nine months. I started off buying a few Fluffles (which have now been discontinued although they are still available on some websites). The advantage of these is that they dry incredibly quickly however I found them too bulky, especially ...  Read the complete review

I am rapidly becoming a fan of reusable nappies and tots bots were the first that we purchased and I now have a small variety of types. The first type that we have is an aplix fastening fluffle nappy in a size one and we also have size two nappies that are fastened using a nappy nipper- a safe alternative to a safety pin these nappies ...  Read the complete review

Tots Bots were the first reusable nappy that i tried. After researching for months i took the plunge and bought 3 fluffles, a rainbow bamboozle, a fleece wrap and a PUL wrap. I tried these out on my little lady for a few weeks. By the time my son was born a couple of months later i was well and truly an addict. I now own loads and loads of ...  Read the complete review

What they are: Tot's bots are a very popular cloth nappy system. The nappies are available in unbleached or white, as well as a limited amount of colours, known as Rainbow Tots. hey are made of some of the softest, fluffiest terry towelling I have ever come across, and I have to say they were so soft and cuddly, I fell deeply in love. ...  Read the complete review

I didn't start out using cloth nappies with my little girl. It was something I was quite interested in, but with the fuzzy headed state of early parenthood, she was months old before I got round to doing any research. I spoke to a few friends who used cloth, and the tots bots came up again and again, and when I looked around on the internet, it ...  Read the complete review

Tot bots. Yes I am going to be talking about nappies, tot bots reusable nappies. Changing my grandson at the weekend I realised I have yet to write a review on the nappies he wears. I am proud of my daughter using reusable nappies as so many disposable nappies are used that fill so many landfill sites. Reusable nappies are ...  Read the complete review

As a newcomer to cloth nappies, I did the sensible thing (or not) - tried folded terries, then rushed out and bought the first nappies I found online. Then I did my research. The nappies I'd bought were prefolds, and didn't suit my little lady's shape. I knew that I wanted something like a terry, but without the work of ...  Read the complete review

Tots bots are one of the many reusable cloth nappies available as an alternative to disposables. Tots Bots are made by a family owned company from Glasgow, Scotland but are widely available from cloth nappy internet sites. I particulary like Tots because they are made from thick terry but are shaped to fit unlike the basic square terry nappy which ...  Read the complete review

I'm a new cloth convert but the transition from disposable to cloth could not have been easier using Tots Bots. The TotsBots nappy is a multi layer shaped nappy with a sewn-in booster which is only fastened down at the front so it can be folded to the front for a boy, or to the middle for a girl or just laid flat if you don't need ...  Read the complete review

I bought several Tots Bots size 2 non-aplix nappies when I had my second baby, to supplement the nappies I already had. I asked everyone I could for advice on which nappy to buy, and kept coming back to Tots Bots, which seemed to be a favourite of an awful lot of people. I was a little dubious at first - I was really looking ...  Read the complete review

I had decided to start using cloth nappies at night time for my oldest, and I was recommended this nappy by people who had been using cloth for some time. So I purchased 2 and 1 air rikki wrap and I must say that I have been very happy with them. being shaped a lot like a disposable it is easy to put on fastened with Velcro (and the wrap just ...  Read the complete review

When I first started to use a cloth nappy for my middle daughter, it was for night use only as she is a heavy wetter and was leaking out of disposables. I was recommended this one by The Nappy Lady and was very pleased, no more leaks for a change! It is a towelling nappy, I have chosen the one with aplix fastening. It has a sewn on booster pad ...  Read the complete review
