tummy tub (Tummy Tub)
Member Name: zoeNryansmummy
Advantages: comforts baby with womb like positionng Disadvantages: takes some getting used to when supporting baby I had seen these when i was pregnant with my daughter and was intreigued but not enough to go out and buy one, cos at £19.99 they're not exactly cheap, and i preferred to have her in the bath with me, much more fun. However, when i found out i was pregnant with my son i was given one of these and resolved to try it with him. His first bath at 3 days old was in it and he seemed very content and happy, but i just couldn't get the hang of it and felt very awkward and like i wasn't supporting him enough. He's had a few baths in it since and has never bothered at all, just calmly looks around and takes it all in, and he seems to like how it positions him but i just find it too awkward and much easier to bath him with his older sister now. I could see it maybe working for someone with a colicky baby, like they're designed for, but my personal opinion is that they're expensive and awkward. Summary: not a best buy, but ok if you can get one as present/given/ second hand |
