Advantages: smooths skin and helps sores

Disadvantages: none

This is the wonders of something so simple. Vaseline must be the most versatile product on the market it can be used so much. I have got so many pots of this for so many different things.

When I was a child I used to use it when I was swimming, I would cover any body parts that were not covered by my costume to make me more streamline because with this it allows the water to glide over your body easier which gave you a bit more speed and it also kept my skin soft at the same time being in chlorine all the time it always took a toll on my skin.

When I had my children it was brilliant for cradle cap, admitadly it would make their hair look greasy but it would soften the skin and when you came to wash their hair it would just come away with a gentle rub. It also worked wonders on their sore bottoms ensuring that the urine was not soaked into the skin by providing a none absorbant film.

When I have got a cold or the weather is cold outside it is permantly attached to me in the little pots that they now do. My lips are covered to stop them from being sore and chapped and my nose is covered to ensure that it doesn't get sore from all the blowing that has to be done with a cold.

My partner is overweight and his legs have started to rub so he has latley been using it to stop his legs from rubbing together and causing sore patches.

Also if you are a sufferer of dry skin on your face rub a bit in when you go to bed and it will smooth the skin.

I have not found anyone yet that has been allergic to this and it doesn't hold any extra hidden nasties that most things do. Every woman must own a pot of this and every mother should have a pot.

It costs between £1 to £4 depending on the size of the tin and they even do an aloe vera one too. This is widly available and highly recomended.

Summary: does everything
