Vaseline Pure Petroleum Jelly.......

Vaseline has been around for many years and it is obvious to see why are there are just so many uses for the stuff.

I personally have always had a tub of Vaseline in my draw from an early age and have used it for so many different things and it seems that I learn a new thing that it can be used for every year!

A tub of Vaseline is fairly cheap but of course that depends on what size you choose to buy. There are several different sized tubs available and now Vaseline even sell small handy pocket sized tins for use on lips. They have started doing tinted Vaseline and even Vaseline with added Aloe Vera.

I tend to buy the middle sized tubs that hold 100 grams and these cost around the £2 mark. There are plenty of different sized tubs to choose from so there is literally a size for everyone!

Vaseline is literally pure petroleum jelly. This is a very greasy substance that has a yellow tinge to it but is pretty much transparent. There is no real smell to the Vaseline apart from a little sort of musty aroma that I can smell but this is neither pleasing or nasty. Vaseline and the research that they do are supported by the British skin foundation.

As I say the uses for Vaseline are endless. I personally use Vaseline regularly for softening my lips (especially when they are really sore in the winter). I am at the moment applying it to my sore nose because I have a horrid cold where I have been blowing my nose so much it has caused sore and chapped skin. Vaseline relieves this better than anything else I have tried.

I will often apply Vaseline to my eyelashes before bed as I have heard that this makes them grow. I am not to sure about this fact but I do know it makes them soft and less likely to break when using mascara during the day.

I do use eyelash tinting kits and this also requires to apply Vaseline to the eye area encase any of the tinting cream touches this skin, if the Vaseline is there then the dye will be able to be removed with ease.

I think I probably learnt the best use for Vaseline last year that was when my parents dog had a sheep tick attached to his skin. I had phoned the vets who said that to remove it and to give him an injection to cover him would cost in the region of £30! We couldn't believe it and when I was moaning to a colleague at work she told me just to apply a big dollop of Vaseline to the tick to that it would suffocate it and then it would simply drop off. I didn't believe that this would work but it did, like a treat!

I expect there are many more uses for Vaseline that people have and I would be pleased to hear them! I for one think Vaseline is a great product and feel that I would be somewhat lost without it as there is nothing similar to it on the market.

I think it is a five star product and well worth a high recommendation.

I do hope this has been of some help to you.

Many thanks for taking the time to read.

Summary: A great product to have

I keep Vaseline with me at all times because its such a handy substance to have around. It was forever being passed around at work when I was a barista as it helped to soothe burns from the coffee machine and Pannini Grill not to mention immediate relief from all the cleaning chemicals.

I'v e also smeared it on door hinges to stop doors from creaking and it works really well!

The tick tip is very useful. Will have to remember that.

Harry recently had a burn on his forearm, and the nurses told us to apply Vaseline copiously on it while the new skin healed, and its kept it so moist and soft, its brilliant!

Har ry's now sitting next to me looking at the pictures of the vaseline shouting "Vaseline Vaselineeeeeeee"!!
