Advantages: Reasonably priced, easy to use, lots of use, great barrier product.
Disadvantages: None
Vaseline is something that I instantly recognise and with it's clear plastic pot and white lid it's something that many people can recognise instantly.
Vaseline is pure petroleum jelly which is ideal for applying to pretty much anywhere on your body and it is fantastic at dealing with so many things. Anything from sunburn, chapped lips, dry skin, skin before using hair dye, preventing chaffing, protecting against the wind and many more.
Vaseline is available in quite a few different sizes from the 10g one which is ideal for using as a lipbalm (84p) to the 225g tub (£1.77) and it is also available in lots of other forms such as Vaseline intensive care (which is not entirely made up from petroleum jelly).
This really does have fantastic healing properties and it's ideal for keeping my lips moist and protected. It has quite a sticky consistency to it and applies very well, keeping things moisturised without forming an awful film but it does kind of feel like it seals in things.
A very small amount is all you need for anything and it's ideal even to dab a little on babies bum to keep keep things nice and smooth and soft.
I would definitely recommend Vaseline as it really is a "fix many things" kind of product, a tub can last for many many months even with daily or twice daily usage. The price is ridiculously low when compared with other "fix many things" type products.
I am going to rate this 5/5 as it would seem many of the Dooyoo members have as it's just fantastic and something that I wouldn't want to be without.
Summary: A fantastic product that's really a "fix many things" jelly.
