Advantages: Many uses, cheap
Disadvantages: None at all
Anyone that knows me knows I will always have a pot of this on my person at all times! I carry the small lip therapy pots with me but I keep the larger pots like the one pictured in the house. I often get dry, chapped, sore lips making me look like a little kid who has drank too much strawberry squash so this little pot for me is an essential!
In the winter I have a tendancy to lick my lips a lot, combined with the cold and the wind leave them chapped and sore. This makes them look really red and once they get sore I can't stop licking them making them ten times worse! This is not a good look!
I have one a tub of Vaseline in my handbag, in my desk draw at work, on my bedside cabinet and it is always an essential to take on holiday with me. I have tried lots of different lip balms in the past but nothing comes close to the instant relief and moiturisation of Vaseline.
At approx £1 a pot for the lip thearpy and around the £2 mark for the large tub, you can't go wrong and even for excessive users like me, this will last you a long time as you'll only need a tiny bit. This can also be used for any dry skin you have, not just for lips, occasionally I'll get dry hands or exema and if I'm out and about, Vaseline provides quick temporary relief until I can get the prober medicated cream.
I couldn't recommend this enough, I carry the Aloe Vera one as I find it more moisturising and if you accidently taste any it's better than the original blue version! When I say instant relief I mean it, as soon as I get that dry feeling I put some on and it is stopped straight away. As it is so cheap if you do forget to take it anywhere it will not break the bank to buy another and keep as spare.
You can also use this on your eye lids, put this on before you put on your eye shadow and it will stick to it making your make up last all night, or spread a thin amount on eye lids for a nice sheen without eye make up. some mum's also use this as a barrier cream and even nappy cream. Vaseline has many uses, workmen sometimes use it to keep their tools, locks and hinges greased as essentially, grease is what it is.
I'd recommend this product 100% and for me, not another lip balm comes close.
Summary: I always keep a tub handy
