Advantages: Smells amazing, lovely soft skin, easily absorbed.

Disadvantages: Bit expensive, will last though.

I first bought Weleda Baby products when my baby was very young. I had been advised by my health visitor not to use any lotions, bubble baths etc on baby till he was 6 weeks old. However, towards the end of that 6 weeks he started getting very dry skin which was flaky and a bit red, I couldn't help thinking that a little bit of lotion would be kinder than leaving him to be dry and itchy.

I spoke to other mums and by far the most recommended was Weleda. Incidentally, I told my mother-in-law about it and she also uses a weleda range on her show dogs (not the baby one???!!!).......

The Weleda baby range is free of synthetic fragrances, colours and preservatives and uses callendular which is widely known for it's soothing and healing properties. It also includes Sweet Almond oil and Organic Sesame oils. Please note that it does include limonene which some people are allergic to (it's included in the vast majority of skin products, so if you are allergic to it you will know by now)

The smell of this range is absolutely gorgeous, quite strong for a baby product but just lovely. Whenever I finish applying to baby I give myself a little bit on my arms/elblows as a treat!

Application is easy, a light milky consistency lotion which absorbs quickly. The bottle has shaped sides which make it easy to keep hold of (with a wriggly, giggly baby this is actually a real help!)

As it seems with all things I love, it is quite expensive, but I think worth it. Babies are small!!!!!! so the 200ml bottle does last for a good few months.

I bought in Waitrose for around £4.50. There is also a bath product which I will review seperately.

Thanks for reading

Summary: Gently nourishes delicate skin.
