Advantages: many
Disadvantages: none really
I'm working my way through the wipes, but I might just stop with this one.... We've got a new Wilkinson, and much to my delight they sell Johnson's lovely baby wipes a good deal more cheaply than most shops. However, they also have a couple of their own, so I thought I would just give them a try. There are unscented baby wipes - if your baby as very sensitive skin, then an option with no added perfum may suit you better. As far as I could tell from the packaging, they are in all other regards the same as the sort I've got..... The perfumed variety - gentle fragrance, £1.59 for 80 soft cotton wipes, which is a pretty good deal. Size - excellent, about the size of a normal tissue for nose blowing, so you don't need many of them to get a bottom clean. Texture - very pleasant to the touch, these actually are cotton soft, unlike some brands I have tried. They remove poo witout abrading the bottom. Scent - very nice, clean smelling. Enough to mask the smell of poo without making the baby smell like a tart's boudoir. Wetness - spot on again, they don't leave puddles on the skin or drip liquid, but they are damp enough to get the job done. Moisturising? Well, no, they don't moisturise the skin, but on the plus side they don't, ) unlike some wipes), seem to do it any harm either. Ease of use - some baby wipes are hard to get out of the packet or to seperate, which can ben very annoying and result in wastage. These are pretty good, they do sometimes come out in pairs, but you will usually need two to get a bottom suitably clean so it isn't really a problem. They last well, smell good and do the job. they are not quite as wonderful as the Johnson's wipes, but they are a fair bit cheaper so on the whole I think these get my highest recomendation at the moment - far better than Superdrug's or Boots, own brands.
