Advantages: Excellent quality, Pretty, Fairly big range to choose from, all mummys deserve one!
Disadvantages: Maybe too girly if you have a boy (didn't stop me though - i carry it not him!)
When i was pregnant and buying all my baby must-haves, i said to myself "if i'm going to be carrying a nappy bag everywhere i go - i'm going to treat my self and have a seriously nice one".
I had seen a few ladies carrying round "yummy mummy" bags and they were so pretty, i would have liked it just as a handbag - baby or no baby!
Having asked one lady where she got hers, i quickly made my way to John Lewis!!
After lots of posing infront of the mirror with different Pink Lining Yummy Mummy bags i chose a beige bag with red polka dots.
On the front pocket there is a cupcake sewn on with a green case. "Yummy Mummy" is stitched above it.
There is an elasticated pocket with a small brown bow on each side.
There is handles to carry it by hand, or a detatchable, adjustable strap to carry it over the shoulder if you wish (i use this most as i slip it over the handle bar of the pram)
The straps are sturdy and good quality.
Inside:
The lining in the bag is hot pink (hence the brand name!).
Two large pockets for bits and pieces
2 insulated pockets for bottles
1 Smaller pocket
Plastic zip up folder (removable) with yummy mummy cupcakes printed over it - i use this to store loose nappies
A travel, wipe clean, changing mat (again, yummy mummy decoration)
A small mirror clipped in (can unclip to remove)
An elasticated key chain
My bag gets used everyday, despite this it is still in excellent condition and is strong and sturdy aswell as pretty.
I can fit so much in there and there is always extra room for more, i also use it as my handbag so it has my wallet, phone etc in.
The only downside is my boiyfriend refuses to use it when he takes baby out alone (because it's so girly), so he has a black Boots bag that you get free with their advantage card! Suits me fine because he won't be messing up my beautiful bag!
If i have a girl in the future i will buy another of these bags but with a more girly design e.g. the floral ones.
My pink lining bag cost £63 and was worth every penny. If you are a mummy or mummy to be have a look at the pink lining website and look at their beautiful bags and purses, they also do gorgeous leather bags although they are more expensive.
Summary: Worth every penny, a brilliant buy.
