Advantages: Look nice, great quality
Disadvantages: None
My daughters bed is a nightmare to make, she has a huge number of both soft toys and cushions decorating it. One of the cushions is this butterfly one from Asda.
I purchased this when my daughter was around 18 months old, so is almost two years old! I purchased it from my local Asda and although it's not available to buy in my local store anymore, it can be bought from Asda direct online. The cushion costs £5.
The cushion is shaped like a butterfly, the curves are quite subtle but it is still noticeably in the shape of a butterfly, the main cushion is soft to the touch and really comfortable to hold. On top of the front of the cushion is a material butterfly stitched on, this is in a darker pink than the cushion and features white polka dots, down the middle of this stitched on butterfly is its body. The size is roughly around 40 centimetres wide at the widest point and 30 centimetres high at the highest point so it is one of my daughters biggest pillow.
As I said, we've had the cushion for almost two years and in that time it has hardly been damaged and is still in a great condition. I only sponge wash the cushion as I don't know what the results would be like if I machine washed it on a cool cycle but I don't want to try. My daughter was sick at one point and although it mostly went over the carpet, a little did attack her cushion, I washed it with warm soapy water and it was as good as new, the sick smell vanished and it didn't leave any lasting marks or damage.
My daughters bedroom is my favourite in our house, it is pink and girly and everything most little girls love. I was going for a butterfly theme to begin with but it keeps changing. No matter what the theme of her bedroom is, the butterfly cushion will fit into any girly themes as the pink colour definitely goes with all things girly.
I believe the pillow looks like it cost a lot more than the £5 I paid, there are similar pillows available to buy elsewhere and they cost a small fortune. My daughters cushion is still in a fantastic condition two years on. I'd definitely recommend this butterfly cushion for any little girls bedroom.
Summary: Lovely cushion for my little girls room
