      Brilliant baby invention

I bought one of these nets about 4 years ago, when going on holiday with my 7 months old baby. We were staying in an apartment next to a lagoon, which I knew had lots of mosquitos, so I didn't wat my little baby being munched in the night.

The Clippasafe cot insect net basically does exactly what it says.

Once your baby is safely in their cot, you put the net over the top and pull it down over the sides of the cot, so the top and sides are completely covered.
The net is a very fine mesh, which even the tiniest of insects would find impenetrable. It has an elasticated edge, so that it grips the side of the cot. It also has little ties at each corner allowing you to further secure it to the side of the cot.

The nets can be bought in 2 sizes - standard, or cot bed size. As ours was going to be used with a travel cot we bought the standard size and it fitted fine, with several inches to spare.

Once the net is in place you can still see your baby perfectly well as the mesh is so fine. If your baby was at the stage of being able to sit or stand up in the cot, I would probably not recommend this product as they would almost certainly be able to pull it down on top of them - not that it would be dangerous, but it would certainly defeat the object of the product.

I paid around £9 for this product and it was money well spent as my daughter slept well and didn't get a single mozzie bite. It also meant I slept better as I wasn't worrying about her being bitten.

After 2 weeks of use my insect net was still looking like new, so I will either be able to pass it on or sell it as it has a lot of life left in it yet.
