This is a review of the Clair de Lune 'dimple plush' baby blanket which I have in white. As soon as I felt the blanket it was so soft and lovely I had to have it. I knew immediately that it would bring comfort to a baby with its instantly warm feel.
Once I got the blanket home, it was draped over the end of the cot ready for my daughter's arrival. I was so excited showing everyone our lovely nursery and part of the tour included a go on my new nursing chair which rocked back and forth, and a feel of this blanket! I couldn't wait to wrap our daughter up in it and take some pictures of her all warm and cosy.
This blanket is designed as a pram and travel blanket but I actually wish I had bought it in another colour now. Ours tends to stay in the house as the white has gone a little bit grey now due to repeated washing. It is still lovely and soft though. My daughter has two fleece blankets we use in her cot and this is one of them. She enjoys cuddling them and just feeling the material. The 'popcorn' style dots on the blanket add a great texture and make it more interesting to hold.
Wear and tear
We have been using this blanket for more than a year now, and it does look a bit tatty now. The colour is not as sparkling white and the back has gone a little bit bobbly but is still soft to touch. It is still nice and cuddly but has definitely lost its 'new' look. This is probably due to the number of times it has been in the washing machine to be fair.
The blanket is a perfect size for a baby at 75 x 100cm. It is big enough to wrap around them without drowning them.
The blanket is available in white, cream, pink, black, blue and buttermilk. I wish I had bought buttermilk now as the colour would probably be more durable than the white.
The blanket is 100% polyester and machine washable on 40 degrees. I have washed this blanket at least once a week and it is still here to tell the tale!
There are so many lovely things made by Clair de Lune it might be worth a visit to the website if you are looking for a baby present or buying for your own nursery. The items are not cheap but they look nice and are of high quality.
I bought my blanket in Boots, during their sale and I don't think I paid as much as the CDL website which has the same blanket listed at £19.99.
I wish I had bought this blanket in a different colour as ours is looking a little tired now but the main thing is that it has brought many hours of warmth and comfort to our daughter. It is a nice soft blanket with an interesting texture thanks to the 'dimples' on the material.
