“ Brand: Ikea / Type: Sheets „
We bought my daughter's cot and mattress in John Lewis, but ended up buying the sheets in Ikea as they seemed so much cheaper - and by lucky coincidence were the exact size we needed. They currently cost £7.50 for a pack of two sheets - although I think we paid less a few years back.
The sheets come in light blue, pink and white and we opted for the pale blue as it's a nice neutral shade - neither too boyish or girlie! They measure 120cm by 60cm.
Easy to fit
The great thing about these sheets - and an essential for me when buying sheets for any bed in the house - is that they are fitted. So there is a nice strip of elastic around the edge that makes the sheets very simple to slip over a mattress. And it's so nice and easy popping one of these sheets on a little cot mattress compared to our king sized bed!
Despite the low price, these sheets are good quality. They are 100% cotton and are nice and soft. Also, as mentioned, they are really easy to take on and off!
My little girl is now four so has long been out of her cot, but baby number two is now here so the cot and sheets are being used for the second time around. And I have to say that I am really impressed at what good shape these sheets are still in, despite being washed and slept on plenty of times. I was most impressed that there was virtually no bobbling on the sheets, which is quite unusual for most items that have withstood lots of washes. They are getting washed a lot at the moment as my little boy is quite a sicky baby, but they are still looking great.
Overall I highly recommend these cot sheets. Ours have worn very well and are still going strong for round two! You can wash them at 60 degrees (although I never wash at over 40 degrees) and can be tumble dried and ironed (neither of which I do either!).
This is a great price for a set of two cot sheets. Ours have been slept on and washed numerous times and are still in excellent condition. They are easy to use and simple to look after. Highly recommended!
*** One thing I would say is to ensure that the size is compatible with your cot as cot sizes do seem to vary a lot. ***
