      -

Having bought everything else in the Mama's & Papa's Roundabout boys range, I almost scrimped on the curtains. I say this because even though everything else in the range is overpriced I was quite horrified at the prospect of paying £50 for a pair of curtains that were almost too small for the nursery room window & weren't even lined! Instead, I was planning on finding some material in a similar shade & making my own (well, having my mum make me some....!). Then, whilst browsing in M&P one day, I found the curtains on sale for £35 & duly snapped them up.

The curtains are 100% cotton, & a solid colour in the same shade of blue as the rest of the range. Each curtain has a degree of subtle embroidery featuring 'Bump' & 'Bounce' - the 2 characters in the range & other features such as cars & road signs. There are hanging details along the top of the curtains, again featuring road signs. The curtains are of the tab top variety, but with the tabs being discreetly concealed behind what appears to be a plain header.

One drawback is that the curtains do only come in one size (mid length with a drop of 160cm, & each curtain being 132cm wide). They are almost too narrow for my nursery room window which is very wide. They're pretty much flat when drawn, but it's not really a big deal since it's just the nursery.

The main downside is that the curtains are only very thin, with no lining. I do have a blackout blind in the nursery, but light always gets in around the edges, & these curtains do very little to stop it. One of these days I will have to get round to lining them.

Overall, a nice design, but not very practical...
