At first we umm'd and ahh'd about using the Mothercare Safe Baby Sleeper that we had borrowed from a friend. She had used it and recommended to us, saying that it had been a perfect solution to use in her childs large cot. It was something that she intended to put away for any future children, but agreed to let us have it for a few months. Having asked her what she paid for it, she told us it was just under £25 to buy new. I had one of these when my son was a baby. He moved into a cot when he was 7 weeks old and he looked so tiny in there I worried that he might get caught up in the blankets when he started to move around. I tried the feet to foot positioning but found he would wriggle his way round the cot too much. I found this sleeper from Mothercare and it was perfect for making the cot smaller. It is a large divider that is foam padded and can fit across the width of any cot or cot bed. It is adjustable and can be made longer by pulling the inner divider out and securing it to the cot bars.
