“ Brand: Mothercare / Linen Type: Blankets „
I warned you that my daughter received loads of blankets when she was born and this Teddy's Wash Day fleece one was one of the many. It was given to use by my husband's work team and they spent £25 on this blanket from mothercare which is really expensive in my opinion and we would never have spent that much on a blanket but it was a really lovely gift and one we were grateful to receive.
This blanket firstly has a lovely design with a tatty style teddy on it in beige and brown. It has a brown trim. It is really fleecy and cosy. The embroidery of the teddy bear is done very well and it is very big too which leads me to the size of the blanket. It is made from 77% cotton.
This blanket is fairly big - it measure 100x120cm. It was big enough to tuck right into the cot tightly too so that my daughter couldn't snuggle down under it or anything.
The blanket always washed up well which I think showed the quality of it and showed the amount that was paid for it. It didn't bobble or anything and always looked as good as it did when we first used it. We still have this blanket around the house now as my daughter likes to play with her teddies on it for a teddy bear's picnic. It is around 4 years old now and is showing wear but my daughter has dragged it everywhere - over dirty gardens, made it wet. You name it, she has done it.
If you ahve the money to spend on this blanket, I would definately recommend it as it is nice for when the babies are younger and then it is long lasting enough for them to use when they are bigger too but on the same note, you can get blankets which are just as good for a fair bit cheaper too. I looked on the Mothercare website before writing this review and it would appear that this style is no longer availble but a similar one is and it actually sells for £34.99! It is just a bit extortionate in my opinion.
I love the 'Teddy's Wash Day' range. Mamas and Papas and Mothercare do very similar designs. This blanket is about £25 and I would not have spent this myself. It was bought for us by a friend who knew that we liked the range. If you are prepared to spend the money though, it is a lovely soft good quality blanket. It is easy to clean. It is a fair size and it washes really well.
The size is probably the best thing about this blanket. so often blankets just about fit a cot but this is huge! There is loads of extra fabric to tuck in around the mattress. I am sure this will mean it is a firm favourite with our son for years to come.
The neutral colours mean that you can kit out your nursery even if you do not know the sex of your unborn baby. It will also fit well with any colour scheme due to the cream and beige colours. It is also adorably cute and cuddly!
There is a light brown cotton edge to this blanket which our son loves to play with, hold and chew on.
Highly recommended if you have the money to splurge!
I bought this blanket for £25 when I was gathering together all the nursey items for my daughter's imminent arrival. I decided to go for this range as it was neutral in colour and still very cute.
The blanket itself is in beige, cream and light brown colours and comes tied with the signature Teddy's Wash Day ribbon which is a lovely touch. The fleece is really soft and although I have washed this blanket many times it still retains it's brand new feel and look. It is trimmed with light brown cotton material which is great as the blanket doesn't fray.
The Teddy design is knitted applique and so very cute. He looks like a forlorn bear with stitching on his arms and legs. Underneath the bear the design is finished with the X symbol in a line six times.
The blanket itself is really big. I didnt realise just how big until I got it home and unwrapped it. It easily covers the whole of the cot mattress with extra to tuck in. It is also great for doubling over in the winter to make it extra warm.
A lovely touch to add to the cot.
