      a great idea

New babies tend to enjoy being swaddled, for anyone who doesn't know what swaddling means it's when you wrap baby up nice and tight in a blanket to stimulate the same tight feeling they have been used to inside you.

All of my children have loved this and with the first these swaddling blankets were not available so I used to use a normal baby blanket which was easy for her to wriggle out of as I could never get it quite tight enough.

These swaddling blankets are made of a slightly stretchy material so you can wrap baby more easily and tightly, they are shaped really nice too, nothing like a standard blanket so you can tuck baby's feet in and get the right tightness you need with the side pieces.

I brought ours from Amazon for just short of £14 which may seem expensive compared to a standard blanket but in my opinion is well worth it as it helps baby to sleep Better and you can't put a price on a decent nights sleep.

They are available in a few different colours not just the blue pictured above and are available in two sizes the first size is for 0 to 4 months which is what I brought and the second is from 4to 9 months.

I found it way too big for my babies straight after birth as it is for 7 to 14 lb in weight and all mine have been a lot smaller than this at birth but soon grew into it, I found that it kept them nice and snug through the night, washed really well and didn't loose its shape.

I would recommend them to any parent but found by the time my daughter's out grew the first size they no longer wanted to be swaddled of a night so never brought the larger one.

A brilliant and yet so simple idea to keep your baby safe and snug

I bought these Summer Infant Swaddle- Me's because my first child absolutely loved being swaddled; however I used blankets for her and she was forever getting her arms free and waking herself up. So, when I became pregnant with my second child, I decided to search the market and came across this product. I ordered mine from Mothercare as at the time they had a buy one get one free offer.

When my baby was born, I started swaddling him as soon as we came home. I started off using the small size; they come in small and large.

The material is lovely and soft and the Velcro fastenings never actually need to touch your baby's delicate skin (unless you fasten incorrectly).

They are very easy to do up, and the most important thing is that my son has NEVER managed to get his arms free!

You can get lots of different designs and colours, so whether you prefer a neutral design or a funky design, there's something for everyone.

My son never gets too hot, or too cold in these Swaddle- Me's, and I think he finds them a comfort as they replicate the snug feel of the womb.

They wash up very well, and don't shrink when you tumble dry them. If you prefer to dry them naturally, they do seem to dry quite quickly.

I would recommend Summer Infant Swaddle- Me's to anybody looking for a product in which to swaddle their baby in.
