“ Brand: Tummy Time / Linen Type: Crib Bumpers „
I had this cot bumper for my son when he was a baby and he loved playing with.
It is a long (120 x 20cm) bumper which runs along the side of the cot. It is well padded and the material is nice and soft. It ties onto the bars of the cot and stays securely in place once attached.
The bumper has 6 different sections for baby to look at. These are all different textures and materials and each has something new for the baby to look at. The colours are predominantly black and white as these are the first colours that a baby can see. However there are other colours to maintain their interest.
There is a colourful flower which has petals made from crinkly material, a lions head who squeaks when pressed, a mirror for them to see their image, a giraffes head whose ears crinkle and a zebra head who jingles when moved. All the heads are raised and padded so they are more interesting.
The bumper is suitable from birth but I didn't start using it until he was about 2 months old. I used it more for tummy time during the day rather than in his bumper as I wanted him to realise that bed time wasn't play time. Just lay it flat and the baby can play with it. It would keep him entertained for ages, he loved the raised animal heads.
The bumper is easy to wipe clean although I have put in the washing machine and it came out fine although it took ages for it to dry on the line due to the padding.
It also comes in a little carrycase which is ideal for transporting it from house to house, it just folds away inside.
I would recommend this bumper, I still have it now for the babies that I look after to play with and the younger ones love it.
It is currently selling for £7.99 which is good as it has multiple uses.
I bought this for my son when he was 2 months old and was starting to focus on things a bit better.
I had been told that babies love black and white pictures so when i saw this i thought it was ideal. On one side it has plain black and white patterns and then on the other side it has a mirror, a crinkly flower a zebra head that squeeks and a couple of other things that would keep them amused.
My son loved this, at first when he was tiny i put it in the mosesbasket for when he was in there in the day, now he is a bit older and likes to be on his tummy i put it on the floor so he can explore all the different textures on the mat.
You can also use this as a bumper in the cot, as the title states as it has tie backs to keep it secure in the cot. Even though my son is now 6 months he still loves to play with this.
A definate must if you want to keep baby amused and stimulated.
Encourages baby to roll and reach out to develop muscles. Baby will be intrigued by the squeaker, jingle and crinkle characters, as well as, be entertained with the mirror for peek-a-boo play.
