“ Brand: Babies R Us / Carrier Position: Front „
I would just like to say that this was one of my best buys for my second baby now four months old.I had a carrier for my first son and loved using it but he quickly outgrew it and it was'nt padded enough and just did not seem very cosy. This time round I bought the Babies R Us carrier for half price in the sale and was pleased to see you could wear it both ways.I have to say that I have used it forward facing more often than rearward as my son seems to prefer it this way it is also more comfortable carrying him facing out.It has been so useful when my four year old wants to go to the beach as it is impossible to push a buggy on sand and the baby always gets admiring glances from passers by.The carrier was definitely ten pound well spent and I will be lending it to my friend when her baby comes next year.
When my son was about a month old, it very quickly became apparent that a pushchair was not always the easiest way to get about with him. Busy towns and, even worse, our weekly trips to the car boot were not going to do the pram any good or other people's heels either! So, it was decided that I would get a baby carrier. I looked about at various internet sites and read up on the product tests for baby carriers and chose the Toys R Us 2 way carrier which was reasonably priced at £19.99. It is designed so that you can carry baby facing either towards you, when they are little, or away from you when they have better head control. To start with, it was a godsend. The straps are lovely and padded and easily adjustable ( not with baby in of course) and the carrier itself looks comfy for baby to sit in (or sleep in as mine usually did!. It also comes with a detachable head hugger. Now though, we don't use it. I don't think the forward facing part of it is very god at all. Basically you just reverse the carrier and baby then faces forwards but it looks very uncomfortable. I think this was a good buy for using it when baby is upto about 6 months (we had Jake facing towards us in it until about 6 1/2 months because he used to fall asleep that way!) but after that I'm not so keen. It's good value though just as a one way carrier.
