Advantages: The fabric is soft
Disadvantages: Too much fabric, takes time to get used to, may not fit tall person adequately
After searching and searching I decided to go for the Close Baby Carrier. I'd read really good reviews on it and thought it met all of mine and my babies needs the most. I have to say I was somewhat disappointed with it to be honest. It is quite a faff to get on, but admittedly this is fine once you've got the hang of it, but I found I had a lot of excess material hanging and banging around my legs once the baby was in and it was securely fastened. Also, when my husband wore it, the rings were in the wrong place and he found it quite uncomfortable and also our baby was in the wrong place. He's 6ft tall and I'm 5'7 - so it seems you either have a lot of spare material hanging around or it's uncomfortable and in the wrong place! My other concern was that becaust of the way the material crosses on your front where the baby sits, this then places the legs very far apart and this worried me, as it seemed an unnatural position for the baby to be in. Also, there is so much fabric it's hard to keep it tidy once you've finished with it. On the plus side the cotton is very soft and has a nice feel to it.
Summary: Very dissapointed, had read good reviews but it just didn't work for us
