Having used several Mei Tai slings I bought this sling when my baby was 9 months old. I wanted a hip sling for when I was cooking or working around the house. I had tried to use a non buckle Mei Tai in the hip position but didn't have much luck. This sling uses the standard Mei Tai decision. The only difference is with the straps. There is a buckle attachment for the waist strap and the over shoulder straps. The first few times I used the sling it took several adjustments before my baby was seated comfortably.
