I originally owned a Babybjorn conventional front carrier but I had so many problems with it that I returned it for a refund after a few weeks. Beside various problems, my son just simply became too big for it and I wanted to continue carrying him and looked for an alternative option. I came across these types of traditional slings through using cloth nappies. Unfortunately they are not widely available on the high street and therefore not many parents get the opportunity to use them. The first Sling Easy I owned was actually fourth hand (and still going strong). It was pink with white dots and a bit girly for my son but he didn't mind. There are quite a few different sytles of slings available and the Sling Easy falls under the category of a 'ring sling'. The Sling Easy is unique in design and extremely simple to use. There are no buttons or fiddly bits and its takes seconds to take off and put on. Basically its a very large piece of fabric with a thicker panel in the middle for added comfort held together by plastic/nylon rings for adjustability. Due to the nature of the sling, it is extremely versatile and you would get a lot more use out of it than with a high street branded baby carrier. The Sling Easy is particularly unique and stands out from the others because it is suitable from birth. There are at least half a dozen carrying positions to choose from to suit the age, size or needs of your baby. It is also really handy for breastfeeding discreetly on the move. You can wear your baby in front of you in a cradle position or facing inwards or outwards like a kangeroo and my favourite position for an older child is straddled on the hip. Its very comfortable for you too because your baby's weight is distributed over your shoulder and hip which protects your back. The extra padding can be used to support the baby or used for comfort on your shoulder. Sling Easy recommend that this sling can be used up to 35lbs. I had my son in it
frequently from birth and infrequently up to about 2 years since he is now happy to walk everywhere. The Sling Easy is secure but I would not describe it as a 'hands-free' carrier. At most times, I would have a least one hand hovering under the sling for added security. But it is brilliant solution for wearing your baby around the home and for walks as babies like to feel close to you. I 'wore' my son in a sling to a wedding and it was lovely that he could sleep and feed whenever he felt like it and I didn't have to struggle with a pushchair. There are many other advantages to having a Sling Easy too. It is very easy to clean and I have machine washed mine without any problems. It is very durable sling and I expect to use it with my next child. Sling Easy is available in an extensive range of prints to suit your tastes. It comes in 4 sizes, small, regular, large and extra large but you can also order custom sizes or made to order in a chosen fabric. Accessories available include a matching dolly sling for your child or a matching duffle bag to carry your sling in. The Sling Easy is not the cheapest sling on the market but you are paying for a good product that you will get endless use out of. I can highly recommend it.

How often have you been carrying your baby/ toddler around and found yourself aching for hours afterwards? My son is 8 1/2 months old now and I love carrying him about, especially when we are out, but he is getting too heavy for me to hold for long. I had a toys r us front carrier but he has grown out of it and I didn't fancy the idea of a back carrier. I like to be able to see my son so I bought a "SLING EASY" from Kids in Comfort. It's a large piece of very strong cotton fabric with a shoulder pad, a clip for adjusting the size of the sling and padding all the way round the edge of the fabric to make sure baby is comfortable. It basically acts as a support (or sling) to help take the weight of your baby/toddler off your arms and spread it over a wider area. You can use it from birth upto about 3 years old, for about as long as you could carry your child, and it's is very versatile and comfortable. You can even use it to feed your newborn baby or lull him/her to sleep. I usually carry my son on my hip and this sling takes his weight so all I have to do is support him instead of carry him! (you can find details of it on the www.babyworld.co.uk product tests- front carriers) I think this product os excellent and will enable me to take my son out shopping with us without having to worry about a pushchair for months to come.
